No would would argue otherwise. However, when it comes specifically to mexico, outside of those 3 top conmebol nations, we aint trippin. It aint all that.
& Cruzeiro got destroyed & humiliated in their own stadium 3-0 against River Plate in front of all of those Brazilians lmao something similar to that Germany 7-1 game you mentioned @El Washatero Also Tigres destroyed Inter de Porto Alegre 3-1 so posts from @Brasitusa are shit responses for a lack luster Copa Libertadores from Brazilian teams. Sad as hell that Brazilians have to hop on a Argentine clubs's nuts, despite being bitter rivals and all. Sad shit fam
That will never happen, well maybe only from the Beta Ass BSMX users that got offended by the L.A. Laxatives name on that shit ass thread
Your tin foil hat is on crooked. But you keep on fighting the good fight against those corrupt American officials.
Then why do you have Brasi in your username and a Brasil club as your club? You are a gloryhunter. Since you're a nad, then we will just laugh at you because your team is inferior to ours and your league is FAR inferior to our league. It's not even close. If you're ethnically Brasilian and now denying it, then you're pathetic.
So why try to bring us down. We team Concacaf, man. Were all in this together like some High school musical shit
Does one need to be a national of a country to root for one of its teams? Yes, I root for Cruzeiro but I'm not Brazilian. There are plenty of people who root for, say, Manchester United but are not English, or Real Madrid but are not Spaniards, and so forth. For your information, I'm Italian-American, with dual citizenship (I hold passports from both the USA and Italy), and I root for Cruzeiro because it is the Italian colony team (its former name was Palestra Italia), and when I was a kid, my Italian-American dad worked for a few years in Brazil (for Esso, the local subsidiary of Exxon) and the first time I ever watched professional soccer at age 6, it was Cruzeiro, so it stuck with me). I lived part of my life in Brazil and part in Italy and France (most of it in the USA) which is why I picked up an early interest for soccer much before it became more popular here. I watch a lot of international soccer and have allegiances to different teams in different countries, some because of close ties, others just because of sympathy. In Brazil - Cruzeiro, my childhood team - I'll always support them in bad and good times In Italy - AC Milan - my father's team; he passed the interest on to me In England - Arsenal - for no particular reason; I just used to like their style when I first got in touch with the EPL In the United States - NYCFC for two reasons - I'm a Yankees fan, and I've always admired Pirlo (this is new for me since I didn't use to have an interest for MLS - now I do) In Argentina - River Plate - I've always found them classier than Boca In Spain - I dislike Real Madrid so by default I have a bit more sympathy for Barcelona although I'm not crazy about them either In France - Paris St. Germain - I went to school in Paris for a few years and used to attend their games at the Parc au Princes N0w, about you all teasing me that Cruzeiro lost 3-0 to River Plate, that's fine. We beat them countless times in the past as well, including, winning a Libertadores Cup by defeating them in the final. Actually our all-time record against River is overwhelmingly favorable to us (like 14 victories and 2 defeats, something like this - I'd have to check again but it is something of this order of magnitude). In soccer, all teams have ups and downs. Cruzeiro currently are doing poorly but just last season and the prior season were doing great. Better times will surely come again in the future (just like for the Brazilian national team - they always bounce back after a generational change).
I'm just being realistic, that's all. I very strongly root for the USMNT above any other, but I know that we aren't there yet. As a matter of fact I think we're regressing.
You are making a lot of wrong assumptions about me. I wrote a full explanation in another post, if you are at all curious. I'm not ethnically Brazilian, and my allegiance to Cruzeiro is steady for several decades since I was six years old, in good and bad times so I don't see how I should be called a glory hunter. By the way, Cruzeiro is doing pretty horribly now (bottom of the table, threatened with relegation), so come again, why am I a glory hunter, already?
I'm behaving. I just reacted when someone called me a conspiracy theorist tin foil hat nut. Can't one defend oneself?
Well in that case two thirds of the international soccer press (probably more) is made of conspiracy nuts as well, since a lot of professional journalists all over the world thought that CONCACAF got the result they wanted (Mexico vs. US in Pasadena in October for the Confeds Cup playoffs) by means other than the play on the field. But that's bygones, anyway. I was not the one who brought it up. It just surprises me that the mere suspicion (I never talked about certainty, just suspicion) that Concacaf manipulated results (which has happened before, and would be in line with how the organization operates - remember, one of its officials has plead *guilty* to corruption charges, and two others stand accused and are in jail, so it's not far-fetched) is considered to be a conspiracy theory. If I suspected the Pope or Madre Theresa of being corrupt, then I should be rightfully called a conspiracy theorist. But Concacaf???
Whaaat? Cruzeiro - 16th in the Brazilian championship AC Milan - can't even compete for the Champions League any longer, much less win the Serie A; in crisis for years Arsenal - definitely not as competitive as Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, and the likes. No EPL title in years NYCFC - one of the last teams in the Eastern conference In Spain - like I said I dislike both but dislike Barcelona a little less just because I hate Real more In France - when I started rooting for PSG 25 years ago, they were crap; Marseille and Monaco were on top. In Argentina - just recently River was in relegation and Boca was much more prominent So, come again, how exactly am I a glory hunter?
