I maybe quite wrong, but I believe they mutually decided she wasn't ready for NWSL so she played W-league instead, and did very well, I recall.

I'd be wondering how much longer Christine will play.

Apart from that, my understanding is she lives in Portland, and not just because she plays for the Thorns. It's her home. She is known here, and known really well due to her University of Portland career. Women's soccer fans in the US aren't particularly sophisticated -- right, MRAD12? -- and she would not be anywhere near as well known anywhere else in the US. I could be wrong, of course, but I just don't see her going elsewhere.

What I'd really like to see is Christine coaching young girls. Her technique and field vision and sense are the best I've ever seen. She's a really nice person, very humble, and I could see her being a great teacher.

Well her double nutmeg inch perfect cross to Tancredi was easily the best individual effort I saw in entire WWC!

I think I heard one of the WC broadcasts say that Sinclair wanted to play in 2019.

So is this the BIG signing that was reported? Good signing, yes but not sure it's big. A BIG signing would be news that Sasic dreams of having a child conceived in the city of Wambach's birth.

I think Lady Andrade is just trolling Abby at this point. Maybe Abby can change her mind a play for Seattle this season

She could say: The Flash traded Wambach away to get me :D

I looked around the stadium today for Lianne Sanderson, and did not spot her - but she was definitely there per her twitter page.

RE: Leroux to FCKC. Am I nuts, or wouldn't Barnie, who is only 33, be a good player to get for the Flash in any Leroux deal. I am convinced that Jones is ordinary, and D'Angelo (5'7") may be too small, although Brittany Cameron at 5'8"has been shining for SB the last two years. Since Franch, WNY has had nothing but keeper problems.

Sanderson was about 6 seats down from me in section 106, sitting with the Feeling Flashy girls.

I don't think she is too small. There is always an area of the net that every keeper will not be able to get to. She is the next up and coming Canadian National GK according to an article I just read on her. She played for the U17 and U20 Teams, and only reason she didn't go to Pan Am games to play for them, was she had to be released from her club to go.

I think D'Angelo has a higher ceiling than Jones, and given how poor the set piece defending has been lately, I want her back in goal.

Why are you jealous? Your team is in second place and the internationals you have have already shown they're capable of excelling in this league. Want to switch? We'll give you Andrade if you give us Little :D

You are asking for too much. We can give you guys Wambach back for Andrade. I'm sure the city of Rochester will like this deal. Will be interesting to see how they warm to the "puncher of the city daughter"

    Step 1:

    Step 2: Sign Lianne Sanderson.

Step 3: Rinse and repeat next year

Was she taking up an international spot though? She is a dual citizen I believe.

Nope, she's a dual US-Canadian citizen. And Sanderson has a Green Card, so she doesn't need an international spot.

So it seems this GK signing is purely based on Seattle being in violation of NWSL rules.

Can someone else correct me than that she will not be taking a roster spot right? I think there is some weird rule where you can have an extra GK.

    Goalkeeper Exception

In the case where a Team has less than two available goalkeepers, a Team will be able to add a goalkeeper to its Roster until its goalkeeper is back to full participation with the Team. This must be done within the Salary Cap.

Thanks, I knew there was an exception. So potentially with Solaun on the season ending injury list, we still have one spot open.
