Niemals vergessen - never forget is a slogan of Union Berlin. The other post was just a joke because you've never spoken about Union your whole life which has to be a terrible situation from my point of view
Niemals vergessen! - never forget! is a slogan of Union Berlin. Not that unique I know but I just wanted to point it out. The other post was just a joke because you've never spoken about Union your whole life which has to be a terrible situation from my point of view
It's not even a story at all lol There is a nickname for 1. FC Union, it's Eisern Union, the Iron. And the whole piece is like "and never forget! Eisern Union!" It's more or less dedicated to the club itself and not to a special incident. It's also an added line in the antheme of the club. If two Union fans meet on the street in passing it happens that one says "Und niemals vergessen!" and the other responds "Eisern Union!" Some kind of insider. That's why I wondered in the first place about Cris but it seems like I'm just a bit too coined with this stuff.
Revenge for 2002. I won't ever forget how I was crying to no end after that final. They would probably want to give us that trophy in exchange for no 7-1
You had the illusion we would possibly win in 2002? To me, reaching the final with Rudi's resterampe was a miracle and succes itself.
Brazil playing at home, most successful country in World Cup history, one win away from the final, expected to win it all, etc.. The Broncos aren't even the first team to get blown out in a SB. The Chicago Bears blew out the New England Patriots 46-10 in 1985 and I am sure there are other examples of that.
I still can't get over how absolutely terrible Marcel Reif is. I'm watching the game again and after Müller goal he screams "Müller!!!!!" long silence and then "abgepfiffen" another long silence and then "TOR TOR". Just so confusing and bizarre and that's just one of many examples.
I guess you mean Bela Rethy. He already ruined this moment, when you were still a toddler: http://www.myvideo.de/watch/4336272/EM_1996_Finale_Deutschland_Tschechien_Golden_Goal
Yeah Bela Rethy, that's who it is. I really like the Portugal-Germany announcer because he was biased and showed a lot of emotion, but guess they didn't want that for the final Edit: Just saw that video. That's just terrible, especially for a Golden Goal. What is his reason for being employed? Seriously..
Nah, as in every state-owned business it is not about who's best for the job but rather who's longer in the company. Rethy is at ZDF since the 80ies so almost automatically gets the big games. And the best commentators are always employed at the private stations -like with Wolff Fuß at SKY- anyways.
