Tried finding the 14-15 thread, realized there wasn't one. Due to lack of posts decided will just name it "Indian Football".

    1) After performing well in ISL Romeo Fernandes managed to impress few Brazilian scouts who materialized this move.

    2) Romeo Fernandes is from state of Goa which is former Portuguese colony, that's why the name.

Facing Nepal is always an exciting affair for the fans. People are happy that we are facing one of the strongest teams from pot 2. Having seen the players do well in ISL & I-League everyone is confident that NT will manage to win the home leg by 2-0 or 3-0.

Having said all this, fans(including me) are really really disappointed that the match wont be broadcasted.

Both scored by Sunil, scoreline should have bee 4-0,5-0 if not for the sitters and penalty misses.

    Expecting a 2-0 win in 2nd leg.

Stephen Constantine is in talks with Indian Origin players

According to sources Indian coach is in talks with few Indian origin players. If all goes well those players are going to apply for Indian passports very soon.

How is that possible? I thought India does not recognize dual citizenship.

Interesting who agrees, as if they apply for Indian passports, dont they lose their 'foreign' passports?

They have to sacrifice their passports for Indian one, no other option left.

If we can manage to convince guys like Ricardo Kishna, Danny Batth etc it would be a coupe. Guys like Netan Sansara and Michael Chopra have already showed interest to sacrifice their EU Passports.

According to sources the Indian origin player whom Stepehen is talking is a forward. My wild guess is that player is Ricardo Kishna.

Why would they sacrifice their European passports for an Indian one and potentially diminish their European playing careers...

Having an Indian passport is not really a downgrade. Maybe few of them based in UK will have a tough time.

So with Nepal out of the way, what's next for Indian Senior Team apart from the SAFF Championship this year?

Here some revenue estimates I found of the Indian Super League clubs:

Atlético de Kolkata - $15 million
    Kerala Blasters - $15 million
    Chennaiyin - $10 million
    NorthEast United - $10 million
    Mumbai City - $10 million
    Delhi Dynamos - $5 million
    FC Goa - $5 million
    Pune City - $5 million

Alessandro Del Piero became the top earner in the inaugural Indian Super League. His earnings were $1.7 million. Soccer and cricket are now the big sports in India, followed by field hockey.

I hope that next ISL will expand to Bengaluru and Hyderabad to have 10 teams.
