At least you had a prime.

Compared to me, you'd be in another world

Maybe not. Hamburg might have nixed it in case he got injured - Bobby Wood and all that.*

*Edit: Mind you, if it was Green they'd have sent him to the camp in a chauffeured limousine:D

He can. Bobby Wood, Green, Morales have.

    Gotz is Olympic eligible correct?

    Yedlin
    Chandler
    Fabian Johnson

He won't factor in 2015, maybe Olympic team.

Well, I really doubt we would use one of the possible three over players on a right back. So that leaves us with just Yedlin, who could play a big role at right wing. He could also play left back, I don't know too much about Ocegueda, but Stolz may be better.

    American is American is American

I don't care where you were born, what your heritage is, etc. If you're eligible to play for the US, your American. Terrance Boyd has basically spent 0 time in the US and he's about as big an American homer as I've seen. Regardless of how he pans out as a player, I'm proud he chose to represent us.

Hell, even Spain is getting Brazilians to play for them. I doubt there was a whole lot of bitching (prior to the WC that is) about that.

He hasn't played since February 22nd. He has been on the bench for the last three games, including the current home match against Augsburg that Hamburg is leading 2-1 in the 60th minute.

Hamburg currently in a training camp, and Götz is not with the team. I guess because he's injured. But Drobny, 2nd choice GK is injured but still traveled with the team for the training camp. Those training camps are very important in Germany, and under a new coach who has yet to use him, it's going to be difficult for Götz if he want to be a first team player. May still play for the U-23 next season.

According to transfermarkt, he's injured until late July, which means he'd miss 90% of the preseason preparation.

Goetz was on the bench for the first time this season as Hamburg won 3-1 on the road against Werder Bremen.

Wow, talk about a thread that has gone quiet.

I haven't been following him closely, but Transfermarkt has him with 10 appearances this season in the Regionalliga.

Also, I didn't realize this but Transfermarkt apparently now tells you what kind of shoe a guy wears.

Started in the bundesliga today, although he was poor in his 66 minutes. Seems his contract ends this summer. Would be smart for a MLS team to be looking at this. Off the top of my head Seattle would seem interesting with Tyrone Mear's contract ending, and there obvious interest shown this season in getting younger.

Of course, he would have much greater value in MLS if he managed to get his US passport. No sign that he actually has.
