Reminded me a lot when we played Australia. In 3 friendlies we have 2 draws and 1 loss vs them. Glad we managed to beat them in the World Cup which also didn't went easy. They aren't that bad actually. Very good mentality as well.
Ozil and Muller with some quality link up play. Reus moving into space nicely but strikes the crossbar.
Hummels and Boateng were the only ones that had a good game. Excluding those two Reus crossbar hits, the attack was underwhelming and uncoordinated. The series of short passes was frustrating. Looked more like a leisurely kick around at the park, especially in the second half where they seemed content holding a 2-0 lead. Need a greater sense of urgency with goal differential potentially being a key factor later on in qualification. Hector as left-back was unconvincing. Got burned at least 2-3 times on the Georgian counter-attack and had to constantly saved by the big defensive work of Hummels and Boateng. If it was any opponent with more quality, those could have easily when dangerous turnovers to give away. Rudy was not a standout either but looked slightly better controlling the right side. Schweini's reaction and handling was also quite slow.
Lehman said that all this supposed flexibility in attack looked most of the time nothing more than mere chaos. That and the conversion of chances stopped us from scoring more goals.
