Opinions on Sanchez Miño joining Estudiantes??? Is it because Boca already brought enough midfielders in?
I am not happy that he is at Estudiantes. I like Sanchez Miño, he has a lot of talent. He is a bit bartolero and erratic, but he's fun to watch and he can be counted for some brilliant plays. I expect he'll do well for the Pinchas. I don't know what happened at Torino, maybe he couldn't adapt. But yeah, it seems like we do have enough midfielders for two or three teams. Perez, Meli, Gago, Erbes, Cubas, Carrizo, Cristaldo, Colazo, Lodeiro, Castellani, Bravo, Betancour, Pavon...do I forget anybody?
Oh crap i didnt even realize it was that much He was pretty streaky Some games he was great other games he was invisible I feel like consistency in the midfield is where it is most important
And most of those midfielders are good, that's what's so exciting. We could get rid of Bravo and Castellani, they haven't done too well when they got their chances. Possibly Erbes too, so we can give Cubas some more play. But the rest of them I think I'd want to keep. They are all either solid starters or promising youngsters. I hope El Vasco finds the winning formula, because there's a wealth of options here.
This is one of the most interesting and exciting times for Boca There are almost no excuses to not winning something this year The only fear is maybe an adjustment period for all the new players but we do have more options than ever For me my 11 would be (not sure of all the positions) Sara Perruzi Cata Torsigleri Monzon Cubas ? Gago Loidero Chavez Osvaldo (Calleri) But omg what about Carrizo, Pablo Perez, Colazo, Cristaldo, Palacios and the rest of the talent?
I would like something like this (if they go with Lodeiro as enganche): ...................Sara Peruzzi....Cata...Torsiglieri....Monzón ......Perez....Cubas...Gago ................Lodeiro ............Osvaldo...Chavez Goal. I am sure Vasco will start with Orión, but I'm impressed with Sara. Defense. I could see Colazo instead of Monzón. Burdisso and Fuenzálida for el recambio. And we have to wait and see what Rolin looks like. Midfield. Lots of options. I prefer Cubas over Erbes, but I am sure Vasco will go with Erbes. Meli, Carrizo, and the kids (Cristaldo, Palacios, Pavon) are all good options, as well as Colazo on the left. Castellani I suppose could sub Lodeiro, but he needs to prove that he belongs. Forwards. If Osvaldo comes (and it looks like he will) then he has to start. I would partner him with Chavez because he is a good 2nd striker and passer. Calleri would work too, but less of a passer. Gigliotti and Burrito would be recambio. Can't wait until Sunday!
Wow.. So many options here I hope el vasco will know how to manage all these players. Many of these players can all be in the starting line up we will see who steps up. The depth definitely helps being in the Copa Lib. I am so looking forward to this season. I hope for great things this year.
Osvaldo is already in Buenos Aires, and should sign today. Supposedly he's been training and in game shape and should be ready to go. Rolín got reinjured, with a muscle tear. Looks like he will be out another month, those injuries are tricky. This is a problem because Magallán is already out for a couple of months, which means for now the only players available for central defense are Cata (who is suspended for three matches in Libertadores), Burdisso, Torsiglieri and (gasp) Bravo. The kid Komar is also available, but I'm afraid el Vasco will go with Bravo ahead of him. I don't want to see Bravo, period. Peruzzi has recovered from his injury, but still needs to get in game shape, it doesn't look like he'll play this week. So for now on the right we have Fuenzálida and Marín. Everybody else is healthy and ready to go, other than Pavón. But Calleri is also suspended for three games in Libertadores.
The "Humo" season is pretty much over, and it was the best one in a while. Now the real season is about to begin, and we have a very crowded calendar. Here are the games for the month of February, starting this Sunday: (Subject to change, I'm going with information from Argentine sources and from the Copa Libertadores official site.) Sunday February 15th: Boca Juniors vs Olimpo (Primera) Wednesday February 18th: Palestino/Nacional vs Boca Juniors (Libertadores) Sunday February 22nd: Temperley vs Boca Juniors (Primera) Thursday February 26th: Boca Juniors vs Wanderers (Libertadores) VAMOS BOCA A GANAR TODO. LETS KICK SOME ASS!!!
Man, I sure hope he does well for us!
Eight straight wins, including the tiebreaker against Velez, the summer superclasicos, the local tournament and Libertadores. Here are the remaining games in March: Domingo 8/3: Colón (V) Miércoles 11/3: Zamora (L) Sábado 14/3: Defensa y Justicia (L) Martes 17/3: Zamora (V) Domingo 22/3: San Martín de San Juan (V) Domingo 29/3: Estudiantes LP (L)
I have been really impressed with how we have started this season, its early doors yet of course but the signs of improvment are certainly there.
Dani Osvaldo on the cover of El Grafico Hopefully the cover won't bring him mufa. I don't believe in that crap, but we'll see. He has everything to be an idol at Boca. Talent, scoring, charisma, love for the club. And he also comes to a team that is well put together and built for success, with players like Gago and Lodeiro in midfield. If he can keep his feet on the ground and keeps working hard, immortality is there for the taking.
Immortality even if he only stays for the one campaign? I've been satisfied with him so far, but he needs to be a lot more clinical. The talent is there, and he should get a lot of opportunities. Let's see if we can arrange a longer stay for him.
Clinical is the word, but he is just starting to get into his stride so hopefully he kicks on. His problem has and will always be his hot headedness, it's what got him thrown out of Southampton, Roma, and his attitude didn't help him at Inter. That being said Boca is HIS club so I think for the one season he is here he will keep his head. I know we haven't played anyone of any real note yet, so to see how just how far we are on teh road to being a top club again is a tad tricky to see, but what are everyone's impression of the side in general and El Vasco's input into our style? EDIT: as a side question can someone translate the magazine cover for me? I am trying ot learn bits of Spanish but its a slow process.
Translation: The Osvaldo Phenomenon He left Italian football to fulfill his dream of winning at Boca and revolutionized (the team) since his arrival. An intimate talk with the owner of a feeling he cannot stop.
I have the new issue and it has a long interview Havent read it all but I read parts He's really into rock and roll and all that which is cool I did read Erviti's interview though just to see what he said about Riquelme Not much but he did make it seem like Riquelme was a really bland teammate
Three more injuries this weekend. This is the injury situation: Gago has a muscle tear and will be out three weeks. He will also miss the upcoming friendlies with the national team. Just when he was playing his best, hopefully it's not going to slow him down for long. Palacios also has a tear and will be out at least three weeks. Lets hope for the best. Peruzzi apparently just had cramps, and he should be okay going forward. He did ran a lot for his first game back. Pablo Perez, Chavez and Burdisso are practicing normally and should be ready to play. Cubas, Pavon, Rolin and Magallan are still in recovery.
Shit shit thats all we need now Good thing we have a whole stsrting team worth of subs to sacrifice but sti shouldnt be happening
I have a question. Does anybody know how much does it cost to become a socio for Boca? I met some socios last night recruiting Boca fans in my area and I wanted to see if the price is correct.
I don't know how much they are paying now, but here is the official page with information about becoming Socio Adherente. They don't tell you the monthly payment, but it's half of what the Socio Activo pays and it is the first step to becoming Socio Activo. http://www.bocajuniors.com.ar/socios/socios-adherente Here is more information http://www.labombonera.com.ar/wiki/como_ser_socio_de_boca
Se retira del basketball un grande del deporte mundial, un hincha de Boca Juniors. Te extrañaremos Steve Nash
Good news for Boca. Pavón is practicing again and he should be back playing soon. He'll probably see some time with the reserves in the next couple of weeks to get back in playing shape. Cubas should also be ready shortly. In other news, Boca will play an exhibition against River in Cordoba on June 9th (During the Copa America break).
