    He was getting very little PT and wasn't in the coach's plans going forward. At NYRB he gets to start every game.

    Also it's possible that his wife's modeling prospects in NYC factored in.

    Believe it or not, after a while people do miss home. Spanish has a word specific for the "attachment toward a place in which you were born, or spent an important part of your youth, hence bringing forth happy memories": querencia.

    I remember a study reporting that the majority of people dies quite close to the place where they were born, even if they had been all over the globe in the interim.

    Really happy for SK, he got such a cool sendoff. He deserved it, all the best for him at RBNY.

    Very interesting. I wonder if this feeds into the whole Latin culture or people who are just warmer/emotional than many others.

    4 and a half years in Belgium with tons of trophies. Has to be among the most successful Yanks Abroad in terms of trophies/medals.

    I like the way he did it -- go to a smaller league's big team where you're expected to win every week, entrench yourself there, and come home with a bunch of trophies.
