Scorpions have not signed any players outside of their own club. That's pathetic. Gonna be last place again this season.

Weren't they suppose to be bringing in some Japanese investors into the ownership group?

Yeah, but the way the Scorpions front office is working is abysmal.

Could be worse... You could have the Strikers' FO. Still, February will likely pick up. I think alot of teams are waiting to see how things play out with the MLS Camps and the Signees from the Superdraft. There should be alot of chances for teams to pick-up some quality players as the MLS solidify their rosters. Where I would tend to agree is that the Scorpions haven't made any "spalsh" signees yet. Maybe they don't feel the need to as long as they have the core fairly intact. I'm sure things will pick-up as we get into February.

    THERE HE IS !

Yes, I'm quite sure that the defending NASL Champions re-signing much of the club that JUST WON THE TITLE will certainly be last place !!!!!!!!!!

There's only 100000 different things going on right now guy ... season starts when ? Today is what ? Oh yeah

Huh? Re-signing much of the club? So far, we've basically only re-signed Forbes, Castillo and Sattler. Restrepo is gone. Janicki is gone. Borrajo is gone. Haven't re-signed Cann, etc... So.... The Scorpions have barely enough to put 11 on the pitch.

Okay, so with Sattler and the newest defender signing that makes a total of 8 players. Not even a full starting squad, and they face Dallas in just a few weeks.

They've re-signed much of the club ... which is what I said guy.

Hassli is there as well, and so is Zahorski.

Oddly enough there's this thing on the Scorpions website that shows you how many players are on the squad. It's called the "roster page" .... and it shows 12 at the moment (I believe).

Also, this was exactly how things looked at this time last season ... how'd last season work out for us ? K THX Bye

Last season at around this time or so, we had major signings such as Restrepo, Menjivar, Saiko. Hard to beat signings of that caliber this year.

I'd say re-signing Menjivar and Castillo and Forbes is equal to that ... better even considering Saiko

To each his own opinion, but we've lost valuable pieces. I don't remember losing any valuable pieces last season (probably since the 2013 season was abysmal). The defense needs rebuilding, and it is worrisome that Cann hasn't had an announcement. It could be due to his injury he had in the Semi-finals. Losing Janicki and Borrajo really killed it, especially after re-signing Borrajo.

The offense basically remains the same, minus the attacking mind of Restrepo. Zahorski and Hassli haven't done much, but are solid bench assets.

Like I said, I'm just worried that the Scorpions haven't made any signings outside of a defender. Other teams are actively signing new talent, while our front office has remained stagnant, especially with the Dallas match in just a few weeks. It seems a lot like the 2013 season, where the Scorpions just hurried and signed a lot of East Europeans at the last moment... And we all saw how that played out.

I wouldn't be too concerned over the lack of signings yet. If they filled all their roster spots now, they wouldn't have the best players available. Most players that are talented enough to play in MLS are holding out for roster spots there and the Scorpions can pick up valuable players as they don't make the cut from MLS teams.

Also, loaned players from MLS have been extremely valuable -- especially in Goalkeeping.

What may happen during the Dallas preseason match, is just Marcina will take the opportunity to try out players training with the team and see how they hold up. That's how he got a look at Forbes last preseason.

Eduar Zea and Z did great out there. Would love to see more of Cristian Palomeque, he looks like he can cause damage and the flank coming forward.

Definitely rusty as it was the first game for the 2015 scorps, but I did see glimpses of us controlling the ball.

Looking forward to seeing how to scorps do against Austin, also getting to see Marvin Chavez out there.

Despite these trepidations that occur every year, one journeyman knows that 2015 is his shot to prove that he’s still got his best game. Even though he will clock in at the age of 34 when the season begins, Daryl Sattler will not let his “seasoned” age get in his way.
“It’s not different,” Sattler said of the age gap. “Once you are on the field, it’s a competition. I am aware that first-team players might be ten years younger than me, I’m okay with that, but being previously in the league and playing this game so long provides me the knowledge and experience I will need.”
Those are the words of San Antonio starting goalkeeper Daryl Sattler, the Scorpions’ man between the pipes for the NASL’s start Saturday, March 14 against the Austin Aztex. Sattler has spent his time playing all over the south and at different levels of the US Soccer system, playing (and outlasting some) with the Nashville Metros (Premier Development League), Memphis Express (PDL), Atlanta Silverbacks (NASL), and FC Tampa Bay to name a few.

Depending on when the US U23 teams play this year, you could lose him for a few games. I expect him to compete for a spot on the Olympic team. I'm suprised that SKC loaned him out to anyone but OKC because he won't be able to be called back if our starter goes down. I think Kempin is our #2 but is young and needs games so he's sent out on loan instead of being our backup. Either way, hope he excels down there.

I spoke with Alen, today, if i remember correctly, he hinted at a couple of big signings yet to be announced. I am assuming this is one of them.
