The graphic that grouped the teams from A to I had Canada as the only D team, but in reality Canada was treated the same way as the 6 E teams ranked behind Canada.

By Saturday if not sooner I'm going to start a prediction contest topic.

The difference being that for Round 3, Canada can only get matched up with a team from the first three series in Round 2, i.e. no Guatemala or El Salvador.

Thank you. So the composition of the Semifinals will be:

6 teams starting there: Costa Rica, Mexico, USA, Honduras, Panama, and Trinidad and Tobago

3 of Canada, British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Jamaica, Haiti, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia, Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, Guyana, and Puerto Rico (11 countries)

3 of Cuba, Aruba, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Suriname, Guatemala, St. Kitts and Nevis, Belize, Montserrat, Barbados, Bermuda, Nicaragua, Turks and Caicos Islands, Curacao, US Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, and Anguilla (18 countries)

    Who's lost? I'm lost lol

Anyways good luck to everyone even though I'm rooting for Canada to get better since that would be great for Concacaf as a whole

A&B got a good draw. They should be able to handle H&A with St. Lucia no problem and they get to avoid a possible 3rd round matchup with the Central American Teams of Guatemala and El Salvador.

Dominican Republic got a tough break in the draw as they will most likely have to make a trip to Central America to play Belize and then a 66% chance to play another Central American team in the 3rd round. Tough break for their current ranking

Canada was treated very well. Based on current rankings Guatemala should have their spot.

Canada should feel confident against any team on this list except Guatemala. Over 2 legs against those others they should be expected to win in a walk.

The Canadians would straight up melt in the Cuscatlán. :D They have yet to prove that they can handle that kind of atmosphere...not that any of their potential Round 3 opponents pose such a threat (outside of perhaps Guyana when the fans show up for major events).

It should be noted that we have two (potential) rematches from the last Caribbean Cup: Puerto Rico crashed out in the first round of qualifying at home when they tied Grenada 2-2 (the hosts later complained of dodgy refereeing), while Cuba needed a last-minute goal to beat Curaçao in the group stage of the finals. Of course, in Round 3 Antigua and Barbuda could potentially run into Jamaica or Haiti as well.

I'm thinking Bahamas vs Bermuda is going to be a really solid 1st round match up. Both teams are under-ranked because they haven't played since 2012.

Maybe the game won't happen, if Bahamas withdraws like the last time.

I apologize but I totally overlooked El Salvador. I was looking at Wikipedia where it has the flag icons and I think when I was giving it the glance-over, my brain totally subconsciously went "Nicaragua". Sorry man

They hosted a preliminary round group in the last Caribbean Cup, so unless the volcano acts up again, they have the facilities to host games.

The U.S. Virgin Islands just took a 1-0 lead. It's about 25 minutes in.

Cannot find a stream, TV or radio. I suppose that's to be expected with these small countries, however.

Barbados was tied for the most spots gained in the March 2015 FIFA Rankings, but if they lose to US Virgin Islands, Barbados could fall back down. The 13 people in my prediction contest had US Virgin Islands scoring 5 goals combined (0.38 per prediction) and everybody had Barbados winning today.

The game is still Barbados 0-1 US Virgin Islands at halftime.

Other notes on the game ... Barbados was unable to convert a penalty in the fourth minute (Mario Harte took it), and Barbados' Jomo Harris received a red card in the 52nd minute. Jamie Brown scored for the U.S.V.I. in the 16th minute. The game is in the 63rd minute.

Another failed penalty attempt for Barbados!

Romario Harewood took this one, in the 64th minute. Game's in the 75th minute.

    http://www.concacaf.com/article/usvi-looks-to-youth-for-barbados-wcq says U.S. Virgin Islands's coach said:

"What you can expect is a well organised, collective, well compact USVI team. We are going there to win.”

The bwin odds gave U.S. Virgin Islands an 8.9% chance of winning, but that's what happened. It ended Barbados 0-1 U.S. Virgin Islands.

Edit: U.S. Virgin Islands in 197th in the FIFA Rankings, but this win will move them up to 104 points (and they could get more in the second leg). If the other countries remain the same, 104 points would move them up to 164th in the April 2015 FIFA Rankings.

Impressive result for the U.S.V.I. The second leg should be interesting.
