I am going to be headed over to Houston for Orlando City's match with the Dynamo. My current plan is to get into town around Noon on gameday, staying in Baytown. What is the tailgating scene with the new stadium? I'm also headed to Johnson the next day, before leaving on Sunday.
If you are a visiting supporter coming to have a good time and don't bring drama you are welcome at the Texian Army tailgate. None of the 10/6/14 Orlando City-Tampa Bay Rowdies tomfoolery please. You've been around these boards as long as I have and I know we used to be your team so I'm sure you're good people. Please just make sure to pass the "no negativity or drama" message on to anyone else you spread the word to. This past year was $10 to party -- unlimited food and drink while it lasts. The area isn't nice( trust me, I lived and still work in that area) and you are pretty far from the the Stadium. If you still want to stay there then by all means stay, but I would suggest something closer to the stadium. Anywhere Downtown/Midtown/Medical Center you will find atmosphere and plenty places where you can eat and drink within walking distance. Stadium is also Downtown so it's convenient to stay there. You can also rent a Bike downtown from the B-cycle sharing Kiosks). Stadium is also Downtown. Like @naranjableeder said Baytown is too mmmm "EH". PS* I personally love Priceline as they have the map feature so you know where you are staying.
