2nd from bottom of table CSL side Henan Jianye upsets Guangzhou Evergrande 2-1! CAFL side Wuhan Hongxing almost pulls off another stunning upset, but falls short losing on penalties 6-5 after a 2-2 game with CL1 side Qingdao Jonoon. Henan is playing really well right now. Very impressive win, and it means this cup is now wide open.
Qingdao Hainiu was actually the team that beat Wuhan Hongxing on penalties.
Suzhou Jinfu came really close to another huge upset too, taking a 1-0 lead into the 90th minute mark before giving up 2 goals in stoppage time.

Incredible finish to a very entertaining final. Shandong scoring in the 95th min to claim the title through Ryan McGowan, a well deserved goal imo. Jiangsu opened the scoring in the 12th min on a corner which Wang Dalei caught but dropped after coliding with Eleilson, giving Roda Antar an open net to score. I thought it was a foul on Wang but it wasn't called. Jiangsu scored the second early into the second half after very poor marking on a freekick, leaving Eleilson completely unmarked to score a good header. With Shandong having to push forward, Jiangsu got plenty of opportunities to kill off the tie, especially Sun Ke who shot just wide on a 1-1 with Wang Dalei, and just moments later Elias missed a free volley inside the box and his second shot was blocked. Shandong on the other hand were very wasteful, especially Vagner Love. Love however should've had atleast 1 penalty after his shot was blocked by a Jiangsu arm. Not long after that he was brought down inside the box, but neither of the penalties were given. Both teams were very agressive and emotional which turned into a very intense but entertaining game. The game could've easily gotten out of hand which it was close to a couple of times, but i think the referee had a pretty good game, bar the penalty claims.

Unbelievable end to the game...Sainty were literally seconds away from winning it on away goals and then McGowan comes out of nowhere to steal the title for Luneng.

Very fitting end to a thrilling final. Shandong were the better team over two legs, but Jiangsu put in a great peformance and were close to cause an upset. I feel bad for Gao Hongbo, he was extremely emotional in this game, something you rarely see from him. He was constantly giving instructions and gesturing towards the ref. He tried to put in a defender just before Shandongs goal, but were not allowed to do so, and the resulting freekick ended up on a free McGowan header after Jiangsu failed to clear it.
