On some kind of fanforum, a poster who claims to have gone to school with Ashton says he thinks he had an American parent. http://www.rauten-forum.de/ashton-götz-aktuelle-spieler-trainer/hsv-f1/t1263-f3/
Lukcas Palmer is now playing JuCo ball in Kansas. I assume this means he wasn't on a pro contract in Jamaica. http://www.kjccc.org/sports/msoc/2014-15/players/lukcaspalmerndet
Thanks for posting. Any FM players here have a simple means of accessing a list of all the American players in the game? Folks have shared such lists with me in the past and they've turned up a few interesting leads.
And he was just called up by the U18s for a camp in Spain: U-18 MNT Roster by Position: GOALKEEPERS (2): Jonathan Klinsmann (Strikers FC; Newport Beach, Calif.), JT Marcinkowski (San Jose Earthquakes; Alamo, Calif.) DEFENDERS (6): Kyle Duncan (New York Red Bulls; Brooklyn, N.Y.), Malcolm Jones (LA Galaxy; Chino Hills, Calif.), Pablo Pelaez (San Diego Surf; San Diego, Calif.), Mauricio Pineda (Chicago Fire; Bolingbrook, Ill.), Tommy Redding (Orlando City; Oviedo, Fla.), Antonee Robinson (Everton; Liverpool, England) MIDFIELDERS (8): Amir Bashti (San Jose Earthquakes; Cupertino, Calif.), Michael Boakye (Oakwood SC; Glastonbury, Conn.), Collin Fernandez (Chicago Fire; Downers Grove, Ill.), Cameron Lindley (Chicago Fire; Carmel, Ind.), James Murphy (Players Development Academy; Scotch Plains, N.J.), Ben Swanson (Crew Soccer Academy; Grove City, Ohio), Jackson Yueill (Minnesota Thunder Academy; Bloomington, Minn.), Eyrk Williamson (D.C. FORWARDS (4): Sebastian Elney (Philadelphia Union; Boca Raton, Fla.), Brooks Lennon (Real Salt Lake AZ; Paradise Valley, Ariz.), Victor Mansaray (Seattle Sounders FC; Des Moines, Wash.), Sebastian Saucedo (Real Salt Lake; Casa Grande, Ariz.) I'm voting "Yank."
The web site of a trainer who has worked with other American players says that Kenyi Adichi, a Mexican-born, part Japanese '93 at Santos Laguna, is American. I haven't immediately found any reason to think that might be true, but I guess that's the point of this thread. http://www.maximilianoroditis.com/kenyi.html http://www.transfermarkt.com/kenyi-adachi/profil/spieler/238938 https://twitter.com/kenyiag He seems to have some experience with the Mexican YNT program.
Also has a Transfermarkt page that says he is an American '99. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/toren-hooks/profil/spieler/347689
There is talks that it is not true. Gedion Instagram account says that he doesn't have a twitter account.
Devante Choice, a '99 GK with SpVgg SV Weiden, is purportedly a Yank. http://www.fupa.net/spieler/devante-choice-135607.html He seems to have played in some kind of charity match with various soccer celebrities. http://www.dnn-online.de/dresden/we...us-Benefizfussballspiel-in-Dresden-2618086613
Seems there's at least one definite American at Guanacasteca. A story about the manager's resignation mentions "el estadounidense Nick Cashmere y el mexicano Luis Martínez" as being among the foreign players he signed. Both played regularly in the Apertura, with Cashmere scoring 7 goals. http://www.futbolencostarica.com/co...eon-deja-la-direccion-tecnica-de-guanacasteca
Transfermarkt lists a guy named Thierry Oberle as a Suiss-American '87 with the second team of lower-division Red Star Zurich. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/thierry-oberle/profil/spieler/74977 He's mentioned in recent match reports: http://redstar.ch/v3/fc-lachen-altendorf-f-c-red-star/ Still looking for more info.
Transfermarkt says a '94 named Muhamet Ajvazi is with Teteks Tetovo in Macedonia. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/muhamet-ajvazi/profil/spieler/346633 Evidently an Illinoian (is that a word?) who played some college ball: http://athletics.uwplatt.edu/sports/msoc/2013-14/bios/muhamet_ajvazi_2mn0
Transfermarkt says a '96 at Italian club UC AlbinoLeffe named Douglas Bentley is American. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/douglas-bentley/profil/spieler/339702 He's listed on the Beretti roster but there's no mention of citizenship. http://www.albinoleffe.com/settore-giovanile/squadre/3588-berretti.html
FuPa has a German-American '95 named Joshua Lenwell at TV Wallau. http://www.fupa.net/spieler/joshua-lenwell-377681.html Here he is on the roster page: http://www.tvwallau.de/index.php/fussball/category/saison_2014_15 On Twitter, he shows some affinity for the States and related topics. https://twitter.com/joshualenwell
Transfermarkt says a '93 named Eric Thomas Costa Rican club Cartagines is Costa Rican-American and born in New York. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eric-thomas/profil/spieler/253152
There's also a Tristen Hooks with Ingelheim, according to that same site. They both started at Hassia Bingen, so it seems possible they'd be related. http://www.fupa.net/spieler/tristen-hooks-337547.html
Did you ever get confirmation on this one Dave? Becker is currently the captain of the Freiburg U-17 team, seems like a good prospect for the 2017 U-20's if he is in fact German-American.
I would not dream of keeping such information from you, even for a moment. I generally start a thread as soon as I have reason to, unless of course someone else has.
Sorry if this guy was already mentioned. Transfermarkt says a '93 at Costa Rican club Cartagines named Eric Thomas is a Yank. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eric-thomas/profil/spieler/253152 He does seem to exist: http://cartagines.net/liga-menor-2/u-17/planilla/eric-jonathan-thomas/
