top two teams from each group to qualify automatically
best third-placed finisher also to qualify automatically
remaining eight teams who finish third in their group will go into the play-offs

we should make it from this group
Germany of course will win all its game and leave Scotland/Ireland/Poland to fight it out for second
if we cannot come out of that trio as the best team we do not deserve to go to France in 2016

Better teams, those that can, double/triple team and isolate him. Or make his life extremely unpleasant, like Scotland did. He scores against poor teams, those that can't afford to double team him. This was a problem, until the Germany and Scotland games, where Milik especially stepped up as a scorer. But Lewandowski did lots of good things in those games as well, and not only taking the defenders with him.

How you been, Marek?! Is it time to revive the Poland forum on BS?

been good, really enjoying DC United this year! quite a turnaround from last year

the win over Germany was certainly great historically and in terms of points in these qualifiers... but getting only a point against Scotland brought us back to reality very quickly

Poland - Georgia on tv in the USA today, on ESPN Deportes, starting at 11:50. The game will also be available on ESPN3. I'm taking half the day off to watch, although I shouldn't. But there are more important things in life than work or money.

I truly believe that this is the game that will indicate whether "Poland is back" on the international stage, or whether the win against Germany, great results by Legia in the EL, and finally, some real stars in great clubs (Lewa, Krychowiak, Milik, Glik, Piszczu, keepers) are just an illusion as always.

Will world powers tremble with fear, as they used to, before even setting foot on the pitch as they see the sight of the White Eagle on our kits??? This match will hold the answer. If Poland wins on this difficult terrain, we will be well on the way back to respectability. If we lose, we are just a collection of lazy stars, poorly coached.

Now, I know that Georgia is not a team on par with Ireland and Scotland (teams that we are supposedly competing with, as Germany allegedly is out of anyone's league), but they put up a decent fight against those two supposed peers of ours, and we have to outdo them both. I think that a draw would be a terrible result, especially the Georgian teams is in shambles. World/European powers would defeat Georgia away by 2:0 or 3:1; if we want to aspire to that level we have to do likewise.

    Je dobrze!

Krychowiak disappointed me again playing for NT. I don't watch La Liga too much aside from El Clasico but it must be totally different player who's praised for his play in Sevilla. Mila is slowly becoming some sort of legend right now as well ;)

So did Poland show they're world class?

Yes, they showed they can live up to their the potential to be world class, or at least one step below. This 4:0 loss was the largest Georgia has ever suffered at home in a qualifying match. How did you get the dreaded "Yellow Card", BTW?

Weird, right? He seems to have gotten great reviews and scores from everyone for the Georgia match, but I too thought that he was average at best. Maybe there is something I am missing, but I felt that he didn't do much in destruction (as most of the Georgia attacks were on the flanks or stopped in the air, central D by Glik), and offensively not much other than scoring the goal; the position of a DM is probably the hardest to evaluate, anyway.

I suspect our game in Glasgow may decide who goes through automatically and who goes into the play-off. I'm assuming Germany finally 'come good and beat us both. In that case it's likely we'll need to beat Poland in Glasgow, with a draw or win seeing Poland through.

I'd fancy either of our chances in a play-off though as we'd likely both be seeded.

    Good win for Polska.

Should have been 4-0 at halftime.

Glad to see Kuba returning and showing us that he's still needed.

    Lewandowski's hat trick was awsome.

i actually dont think that Lewy did touch that ball for the last goal, it might have been an own goal... no matter

we failed to turn our first half dominate into more goals and needed a near miraculous finish to salvage a point
