A thread dedicated to once promising wonder kids who were supposed to lead us to world cup glory but instead have disappeared u pičku materinu...

I'll start with Dalibor Pandža, once considered the brightest talent in Bosnia, the Sarajevo youth player endeared himself into the hearts of many when he turned down the opportunity to play for Coratia and instead stated that he only wanted to play for him home-Bosnia & Herzegovina.

The young striker was quickly picked up by Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb and immediately loaned out to Dianmo's farm team Lokmotiva in the Croatian lower tier. After failing to impresses in the 3rd league he was subsequently released and started his journeyman career as he would go on to play for Radnik Sesvete and Zvijezda Gradačac before settling for the bench at Olimpic Sarajevo.

Another Sarajevo product Haris Handzic--Handzic was actually the youngest debutant for the senior national team at 17 years 11 months and 12 days, beating out the likes of Pjanic and Besic. He left Sarajevo for Lech Poznań where he would fail to win a place in the team and spend the next few years playing for random Bosnian clubs before ending up at newly promoted Russian Premier League club Ufa--where he is currently a starter but is yet to score.

Armin Cerimagic once classed as the best Under 17 player in the world made huge waves in Bosnia when he scored a stunning 39 goals in a Sarajevo youth tournament at the age of 10 while playing against players 5 years his senior.

The winger known for his "bomb" left foot was quickly picked up by Italian giants Inter Milan but due to FIFA's "Protection of Minors" rule he was unable to join and would have to wait until his sixteenth birthday before being able to join Inter.

By his sixteenth birthday, Armin hadn't progressed enough and Inter Milan decided to cut their ties with the player. Cermagic continued to play for Zeljo's youth team and Bosnia's u17 & u19 teams before getting an offer from KAA Gent - where he would spend the next three years and fail to make a first team appearance. Now still young-only 20, Cerimagic has joined Polish club Górnik Zabrze.

Damir Coric, former Hertha Berlin and Germany u16 captain was once one of the highest rated defenders in the German youth ranks. Damir caused controversy in the German camp after declaring to Bosnian press that "My heart beats only for Bosnia-Herzegovina"(which he later claimed was mistranslated), however his u19 coach at the time, René Tretschok immediately said there would be implications for his statement. Shortly afterwards, Coric was released by Hertha because according to the Old Lady, Damir had stagnated and had not been fully focused on his club career.

Damir would go on to play for several amateur sides for the next couple of years. Currently 23, Damir is playing semi-pro ball at 4th division side Berliner AK 07.

    Forgot about this tread.

Nikola Saric, 1/9/91, Forward, originally from Sarajevo(mixed marriage) moved to Denmark as a child and was once one of the hottest football prospects in the entire world. Every club(including several countries) were fighting to have him on their team. A tall and strong forward with good pace and excellent finishing, Saric was voted the best under 17 player in Denmark and invited to several clubs on trail including Barcelona, Tottenham and Liverpool.

Barcelona offered him a 3-year deal after he impressed at the trial however he and father declined because they thought he was too young to move to Barcelona. At 17 he was sold to Liverpool who declared him the "new Ibrahimovic".

After failing to get any first team minutes at Liverpool and suffering several injuries Saric decided to to join Hajduk Split which then started the whole which national team is he going to play for charade. Originally a member of the u17 Danish team Saric declared his loyalty to Serbia after moving to Liverpool. After joining Hajduk Saric voiced interest in playing for Croatia, later he declined a call up to Croatia's u21 team and declared he was available to Susic for the Bosnian national team, his "home". Probably the only person I've seen pictured with the Serbian, Croatian and original Bosnian flag. He currently plays for Boldklubben 1908 in the Danish 3rd division.

I was going to reply to his post but could't find the pictures of Saric with the Croatian and Bosnian flag with the Ljiljan. Saw them a couple years ago.

I think you should be written about in this thread - I, for one, had high hopes in seeing your career develop...

    Forgot about me.

Nerko, just Nerko, 15/03/95, left back, originally from Trebinje (just kidding from a shitty selo called Bileca) lived almost his entire life in fnucking Denmark and was one of the hottest left back prospects in Denmark. He played for B93 for 10 years and few clubs like HIK were fighting to have him on their team. A small and smart left back with a solid pace and excellent technique, Nerko had the whole package to become a good player. Nerko was voted to be one of the very few to go on the U17 Denmark national team camp, he fell through after the 3rd round.

Here you can see Nerko showing of his excellent technique.

After 10 years in B93, HIK (a second division team) offered him a trial. He became a icon for the club after just one week, the coach named him Nermilva (because Nerko's favorite player was Silva at that time) and decided to play him in the midfield instead, a good choice by the shitty coach.

Nerko scored in his debut but a guy called Onat screwed up in the last fnucking minute and we lost the game. Nerko after the game was pissed and decided to grab his big ass forehead and from that moment, Nerko was in big trouble. Nerko was not only a good football player but he was also a idiot outside the pitch, always pissed at his teammates because they were pssussies most of the time. Nerko's best friend, Abdellatif (the only foreign player in the club aside of Nerko himself) got in trouble with the coach after he got the information that he would play left back, not his favorite position. Abdellatif came late to training and coach Ejdum had a conversation with him...few minutes later we heard Abdellatif screaming ''Fnuc your mum, you are shit anyways''...he was gone.

Nerko was now the only foreign player in the club among these Danish psussies, no one to talk to, he was nothing. Nerko had enough one day after a guy told him to put pressure on the opponent, the thing was Nerko was the only one who was putting in the work and he was just standing there and trying to teach me...Nerko snapped. BUM.

Next day he received a phone call from the coach, he wanted to ''talk''. Nerko was smart, he knew that something bad was waiting even if he by miles was the best player for the club, so he picked up the phone and told the coach ''I'm out, this team is shit anyways it's not like I don't have a offer from Skjold''...

Nerko went to Skjold and played there for a year, he had a good time and the coach loved him. After few months he didn't show up to training, he had enough...slowly he lost the motivation to show up and instead he decided to become a beast. He currently plays for Bigsoccer FC in the internet divison.

And for the record, Nerko once had the chance to train with Zeljo U17, he rejected - reason - he doesn't even know but today he is crying over that decision.

    R.I.P Nerko
