Here are the extended highlights of the game. There isn't a time stamp on the video, but 'Nique's goal comes about 3/4 of the way through. Also of note, Kronholm is in goal for Elversberg and Canadian Randy Edwini-Bonsu is a new arrival for the Kickers. http://www.swr.de/sport-am-samstag/...6/did=12800552/nid=1208948/10ehbe1/index.html
Elsewhere in 3.Liga - Royal-Dominique Fennell goal has Stuttgart Kickers leading 1-0 over Wiesbaden. Nice start!— Yanks Abroad (@YanksAbroad) July 26, 2014
Elsewhere in German 3.Liga...Fennell nets another goal. Yay! But it's in his own goal. Doh! Stutt Kickers lose 2-1 to Wiesbaden.— Yanks Abroad (@YanksAbroad) July 26, 2014
Technically speaking, his own-goal was just the equalizing goal for the other team. There was another one after that. Still didn't help matters...
Kicker is now crediting the own goal to a player on SV Wehen Wiesbaden. Here is the play in question.
Fennell went 90 in Kickers' 2nd game as well, a 3-1 win over Jahn Regensburg. He got a '3' rating from kicker for both games.
Fennell has started all four 3. Liga games to date as a center back. Tomorrow Stuttgart Kickers host Borussia Dortmund in the first round of the German Cup. The game will be available through Watch ESPN. Game starts at 9:30 a.m. eastern. During the 2013/2014 season he played in 27 3. Liga games (24 starts). He scored 1 goal, registered 2 assists, and pick up 7 yellow cards. Kickers finished 8th in the 3. Liga.
I was listening to the radio broadcast, and he had a big save off the line on a Dortmund counter attack.
He also had a back pass picked off for the 2nd goal. I watched the second half. Seemed to have trouble dealing with Ramos and the pace of Aubameyang (who picked off the back pass). Entertaining game until dortmund pulled away late to win 4-1.
Thanks to two second-half goals, Royal-Dominique Fennell and the Stuttgarter Kickers picked up three points against Chemnitz on Wednesday to jump to the top of the 3.Liga standings. Fennell started and went the distance for the Kickers, who sit in first place in the German third division with 13 points through six matches. http://www.yanks-abroad.com/content.php?mode=show&id=11577

Stuttgart in fourth place in 3 liga at the break. http://us.soccerway.com/teams/germany/sv-stuttgarter-kickers-ev/1003/
Still in 4th, but only trail 3rd place by goal difference. Fennell hasn't started since December but came on as a sub in the past two games.
