Very promising debut for Lassiter. The game was on TV so I took the chance to watch it. He started the game and played 73 minutes at the left wing before being substituted. Of course there were some moments where you saw that he was new to the level and to his teammates but overall he was really involved, made lots of runs and played well. The TV-commentators also praised him quite a bit as well as the GAIS manager who pointed out in the postgame interview how impressed he has been with Lassiters character. Lassiter officially got the assist on the second GAIS goal (they won the game 2-1) when his shot was deflected and fell down right in front of the GAIS forward (see video below).

How has he looked compared to other American prospects you've seen before ( Cobi Span for example)?

That goal probably doesn't happen if Lassiter doesn't take that positive first touch -- the ball was played right to his feet and the defense would surely have closed him down if he hadn't kept the play moving forward. That's a pretty confident play for a young guy making his pro debut. (Of course, calling that an assist -- well, why not?)

Lassiter started his third game in a row today and scored a penalty to make it 2-0 GAIS which also ended up being the final result. I didn't watch the game so I can't report any more then that but here's the penalty:

I've only seen him in a couple of games so it's a bit early to say. The most notable thing though when comparing with players like Brian Span and Billy Schuler is that Lassiter plays with confidence, takes initiatives and gets involved in games. Span and Schuler most often, especially at the start, looked very hesitant and lost when they played while Lassiter from the first minute has looked like he belongs.

Wow sounds like they like him a lot enough to trust him taking penalties. Looks promising.

Lassiter hasn't gotten on the scoresheet since the last update, but he has been involved in creating a couple of goals in the last two games however:

Lol were those 2 own goals?? Well looks impressive a young player consistently looking dangerous for his team even if it is 2nd division in Sweden.. I hope he moves to the first division soon.

The first one is an own goal. The second one is his forward teammate "stealing" the goal on the goal line when the ball was already heading in. But that might be a good thing in the end since that forward is usually one of the best poachers in the league but has struggled alot to return to his usual goalscoring form after being out injured and having surgery.

This appears to be a friendly one-night tournament called "90 Minutos Por La Vida." The teams play a short game with the winners of the first 2 meeting in the final match. A translated Wikipedia page seems to indicate the tiebreaker is an MLS old school shootout -- 40 meters and 6 seconds to shoot.
