That was a loss to a team by Feyenoord that was not even that good.

I thought that Boëtius was bad. Probably the worst game I have seen from him. I could actually pick a whole bunch, including the coach, but the only one that surprised me in a positive way was van Beek. When Mathijsen blundered with the first conceded goal I thought I saw him pushing van Beek, like it was his fault. Bit of a douche move. He should try to install trust in younger players, not take it from them. Beek did not look good in the last U21 game vs Scotland and thought Feyenoord would get into trouble with him. Funny that he was the one keeping things together while the oldies Boulah and Mathijssen were messing up. Kongolo was oke-ish. Beek showed some very good cross passes and also ran up the field. Not sure why that right side of Feyenoord needed to be subbed out as it was not that bad. Like Boulah was a major improvement? The problem for me was JP.

Immers worked hard, Clasie not that solid, but put in some nice balls. Vilhena not good enough. Vrede converted the pen, but was not non existent in his field play. I though that Schaken did well at times, though at the start lost some stupid balls.

The coach Fred does not come across as a heavyweight. Hope he can develop the youth though. I thought that at the side of Besiktas that old PSV player Hutchensen played well. A Dutch club could use him, but I am sure he makes more money in Turkey.

It's a bit bitter that Fey loses due to mistakes of 2 old defenders, experienced defenders. Will be a tough game in Turkey. Besiktas was not impressive, but that is even more worrying for Dutch clubs. Groningen already lost to mighty Aberdeen, last season we had Utrecht losing to the nr 3 of Luxembourg. This is not good for points in Europe.

If Feyenoord crash out they probably don't even enter the Europa League so we are left with only PSV, PEC in that competition, correct?

PEC Zwolle are 100-1 odds to even score 1 goal in Europa L.

I kind of like ref giving 2 yellows for divers, just not sure it was a second dive.

Why was Narsingh subbed though? This red ensures him getting 90 next game surely?

De Jong is de Jong. Limited player that will score quite some goals with Narsingh delivery. If Depay is sold they must go for Ola John and they have a 30 goals a season striker in de Jong. Certainly in Eredivisie.

Maher showed no grit. Detected a bit of eagerness. Where is his attacking contribution? He is allowed to assist or score.

    Locadia is just pretty clumsy.

There was no player that really jumped out to me, though I like Hendrix in general.

PSV should have scored a second today. Now it is still not certain.

Ideal situation will have Feyenoord, PEC, PSV and Twente all in the EL group stages and collecting points. Ajax unfortunately has almost no chance of making pot 2. (unless Leverkusen, Arsenal and Porto all stumble in the qualifiers).

At least all 3 Dutch clubs won their club friendlies today. I know they are meaningless games, but it beats the heck out of losing them

Couple of days late but obviously the loss by Feyenoord is disgraceful result for all of Dutch football.
Mathijsen? His involvement is a travesty in itself. He is old, slow, and sucks.
Boula? Could have been a player 8 years ago.
    Sick to my stomach.

I was watching Heerenveen's friendly today vs Levante. Daley Sinkgraven looks like a good talent. Showed nice technique and movement to compliment the attack. Reads game well, created several scoring chances from well delivered crosses.

We've been using it in our domestic league for several years now and no players have been sprayed by the match officials yet! I can just see some angry player getting in the official's face and he whips out his spray and sends a blast right at the offending player. Now that would be cool (or maybe cruel, who knows).

It would be even finnier if the ref mixed some mace into his spray :ROFLMAO:

Stopped watching after the 2-1 between Feyenoord and Besiktas.

How long before the number 1 team in Eredivisie has to go to play off games? Is that around the corner or is there still some buffer?

The 2016/2017 season could see the league drop below 13th spot at the current rate.

However, the relative decline probably will stop next season when leagues ranked 7 to 9 lose a Europa League spot. Fewer unseeded teams qualifying should reduce the number of early eliminations. In addition all UEFA points scored by teams will be 20% more valuable due do being divided by 5 instead of 6.
