Romain Alessandrini,Florian Thauvin should have amazing year for Marseille both will have call ups for France and play friendly's maybe even André-Pierre Gignac

theres going to put a hell of a fight for a champions league spot in Ligue 1 this year !

Lyon and Monaco are going to fight it out

Lens and St etienne, Nice, should do well and get Europa league spots

Have to disagree there, bud. Lens and Nice will be terrible based on what they have done in the transfer window in that they havent improved much from last year. I mean if Lens want to avoid relegation they are gonna have to do more than what they have done so far. Nice same thing. St Etienne should be ok but I dont know about a Europa League spot.

Nice sign ex Marseille castoff Souleymane Diawara. Not a good sign if youre trying to stave off relegation. Matt you really need to reconsider your predictions of Nice and Lens contending for Europa League spots.

Not serious, just a political signal. Anyway Martel gathers what he's sowed. He wanted to keep his position at any cost.

Bastia has had decent summer recruitment. I think they can contend for a Europa League spot. Also Rennes obviously can contend for Europa.

Likelyhood of them being like Strasbourg, Grenoble, Le Mans, etc. and being stripped of professional status and having to go down to the lower divisions. I have no idea. Either way its a League 2 level team with no big home crowd advantage and no new recruits. Enjoy last place.

Poor showings from Monaco, PSG and OM put Caen in the top spot after the first week. OL already battered with injuries but still managed a win at home.

Maybe Nice wont be as bad as I thought cuz Super Dario already has 2 goals in the first game after 8 total last season.
