I don't know if I would go that far every time I watch a match I see at least 1 or 2 difference makers. I had U Catolica X Emelec and Barca X Nacional on in the background today and the quality was pretty bad from defenders tripping over passes when keeping possession in the back to some horrid finishing. Even on my tv the matches look like garbage quality, way worse than other SD channels to make it worse. You could be right about the lg lacking a lot of quality just by looking at Emelec's last two performances in the Sudamericana and libertadores. I drastically overrated them from what I saw in lg play. The overall presentation does look poor for lack of another word. The peruvian tv station shouldn't have better graphics or sound quality.

Didn't see the game of Barcelona vs El Nacional but damn... That goal from Ely Esterilla... Freaking beauty. One of the best goals I've seen this season. Him and Jr. Sornoza have made great goals. Can't wait to see them on the NT.

Perhaps it's because I'm used to it, but I found the Loja/Catolica game somewhat acceptable, I actually liked the way Independiente played, they ran a clinic on Olmedo and I'll admit I'm a little in favor of them because is my team but I'll say that I thought BSC played very good 45 minutes and Nacional threw a decent second half.

Now regarding the rest yes, I agree, Liga showed a few moments of Zubeldias offensive futbol specially the first 15 minutes of that game. No matter how much we like to look at U-20 and talk about thhow they are the future of our NT, I kind of disagree with this, I like to watch the U-20, U-17 and what not, but I believe our key department in improving our futbol to a higher level, is our tournament, this is where those kids will get molded and if our clubs, fans, Managers, Club owners and FEF keeps on screwing up, they get lost in development.
Player managers (representantes) have to do a better job, I mean, why don't we move our mid card players to other leagues as well, let me give you an example, players like Saritama, Reasco, Calderon, Quiroz, still in Ecuador taking a spot that could go to a younger and less expensive player, why aren't they in China, middle east, MLS? where they could be getting decent money before retirement, I mean everyday we read of Central American players playing in MLS and making money. I just dont see the point of having a player like Saritama who you know is not a work in progress, going to benefit any team by being benched, he can only get worse every week, but if he was actively playing in let's say Hong Kong he could play easily 3-4 more years, who doesn't win in this?

Another level of players which we have so many, some examples, Michael Jackson Quinonez, Samaniego, Miller Bolanos who are talented and are at their prime but for whatever reason don't start in many games, Can it really be so hard to find them teams outside Ecuador? I don't mean Europe, but I am willing to bet MJQ would be a starter in any first Division Peruvian team? I mean third string Argentinians/Uruguayans arrive in such leagues such as Peru, Venezuela, Bolivia, Paraguay, and become stars, look I am not being arrogant saying our bench players are better than starters in these leagues, but I'm talking about a few very talented players that for constant coaching changes or an injury, indiscipline or just cause they didn't click are not starting. Look at Carlos Tenorio, he always finds a team to play for, gets his money, plays, does not take a spot from a younger player and even stays on the radar for the NT.

One last thing, I can already see, Penilla, Esterilla, Gonzales, Cevallos Jr, Sornoza, Uchuary, going to Mexico from now to summer 2015, I wonder, Is it really that hard for our young promises to cause interest from some European leagues? I get it, El Calcio, La Liga, Premier and Bundesliga are hard to break into, but seriously, can't we land players in Holland, Greece, Portugal? where it would be easier to eventually jump into the best leagues? If this World Cup proved anything is that we need players with more jerarquia, we came up short on roster in Brasil, Mexican league is good to us, pays well, provides consistency but we have reached as high as we are going to reach with a NT with most players in such league.

I saw both games you saw and I also caught LDUQ's game, as well as BSC's. I liked what I saw from Ely Esterilla, Cristian Penilla, and Pedro Velasco in BSC. Ruben Isreal had them play a great first half w/ fast pace one touch ball and making the transition from defense to attack in a short time period. Second half it was mostly even and I'd even go as far as saying El Nacional had dominance, but BSC defended well and make it tough for them to break in. In Emelec's game I really like Robert Burbano. The few games he's played this season he's shown very interesting qualities, but I hope he can continue to do this for an extended time period so we don't lose him. Fernando Gaibor should be back soon so it will be interesting to see either he starts or if it will be Burbano. Narvaez did ok. He has moments where he just does great work on the field and others where he makes a few errors that make you say "por eso todavia no esta en la seleccion"...so in reality, I can't blame Rueda for not calling him up sometimes. Le falta tranquilidad in certain moments of a game. He is very talented and I'm sure it will only be a short matter of time until he feels comfortable 100%. I think playing a few friendlies with the NT would benefit him tremendously. Miller was good. You can tell that when he's healthy, he's always going to provide lots of creativity in the midfield and be a threat to the opponents. He got a little tired in the second half which is why Charcopa came in (who also did well), but other than that Miller did good...when he's healthy he hardly disappoints b/c that kid possesses true quality. From Liga's game I woud say that Jefferson Intriago did ok. I like him as an attacking midfielder the way he played yesterday. Sometimes he disappears a bit when Liga loses possession, but he had a good first half which i really liked. Matamoros and our juvenil Hansel Batalla did great and was one of the most dangerous players we had throughout the game. Both of them beat their opponents on the wings several times creating opportunities to score. Batalla really impressed me yesterday and I'd say it was the best game he's played so far. In the primera etapa I'd see sparks of great talent but yesterday was when he finally clicked all the way. The entire defense did great as well with the exception of a few errors that Koob Hurtado had which cost us a goal, but other than that the back four (especially Madrid) were in game mode yesterday. Vera great game with few mistakes, Hidalgo as well performed at the level we should expect.

Now as far as the players you mentioned- Saritama, Quiroz, Calderon, MJ Quinonez and Reasco- I would say that teams in Ecuador want them b/c they are proven(or have proven themselves at some point in time or for several seasons). It's tough to find players with their experience that aren't so costly if you know what I mean. Someone like Perlaza, Bagui, or Checa who are very average and mostly have acceptable performances aren't easy to find. Those are the guys these clubs teams want to stay for as long as they can keep them. In their cases, it's been for an eternity b/c these players don't draw interest from foreign clubs as much. And reality is Peru, Paraguay, Uruguay, and some of the other countries in the America's besides Brazil and Colombia don't really pay as much as an Ecuadorian club team will. So these players will most likely never have the need to leave. They start in their club teams and have a good salary. What more is there to ask for? lol That's why so many above average foreigner players came to our league between 2008-2013 (b/c the salary offers in Ecuador were amazing). I mean even Michael Arroyo, Jaime Ayovi, Edison Mendez, and Segundo Castillo returned and played in Ecuador at some point throughout 2008-2013. These aren't cheap players for an ecuadorian team to maintain. That's why this season lots of teams have cut back on salaries like Liga did and that is also why you don't see extranjeros de nombre coming into ecuador this season. Only Emelec is capable of doing so, yet they are smart. They sold Marlon in 3.5 million, sold Enner in almost 5 million, and sold Marcos Caicedo in 4 million. And who have they bought? Nobody. They didn't hold back to purchase Stracqualursi or Nasuti- both players that performed really well during their time in Emelec EVEN though they had the money to keep them if they really wanted to. Emelec knows what they're doing. They usually get players on loan w/ option to purchase, buy an unknown young player with lots of potential for a cheap price, or sign someone who is a free agent. That means they don't really need to buy. And hey, it's working for them for a few years now. They don't spend much. The only real trip they had was bringing in Pablo Zeballos and paying him a huge salary for 6 months and witnessing him be a huge failure. Besides that Emelec is impeccable w/ the way they administer their money. Nasib Nehme es un gran dirigente.

Also, I wouldn't put Miller in the same bracket as Samaniego or MJ Quinonez. MJ Quinonez has had trouble consolidating himself on all the club teams he's played in Ecuador. His best performances were in El Nacional where he had regular playing time for the most part, but then he moved to D. Quito and BSC at the wrong times when both teams signed 3-4 players per position which made it hard for him to get any minutes. That was his issue. Now he's 29 or 30 and never consolidated himself even though he always had the potential to. With Samaniego I'd say he's played regularly in these last few years. In Independiente he was more of a vital player than he is now in El Nacional. He's had trouble consolidating himself fully in El Nacional, but I never saw Samaniego as a crack either. Solo un buen jugador que te rinde y eso es todo. Pita is a notch above him and he's never really fully had a season that has really wowed anyone although he is for the most part consistent. Alex Colon on the other hand has had a season where he wowed everyone, and Colon isn't a crack either. He'd just be the better of the 3....none of them being la gran cosa.

Miller on the other hand has proven himself at international level playing in Libertadores, Sudamericana, Recopa, and even won a campeonato for Liga w/ 2 of his goals in 2010. That kid really makes the difference when he's on the field in key moments when he's most needed. When he doesn't play you can notice his void b/c that's how important he is. When he would miss a game for Liga, you could always tell there's something missing in the midfield. Miller's problem was at one point his lack of discipline and a few injuries that would get in his way during a season. When you mix those two things you get inconsistency. In Chivas USA he did well for an entire semester, and the rest of his time there consisted of either him being injured or just not playing b/c the coach didn't need him. He returned to Emelec and found himself in a team where Mondaini, Enner, Gaibor, Marcos, and Mena were all in their moment and had trouble getting minutes. Now that Enner left he's had his opportunity to play and now that Marcos is gone, he has even more space to fully consolidate himself. For the most part, he has been able to play in Emelec when healthy. He has played 13/18 games and started 9 of them this season and also played a couple in Libertadores. The main thing with Miller will have to be not getting injured. I haven't heard of any disciplinary problems from him in a very long time so it leads me to believe that if healthy, he will have stellar performances. He's 23 right now so it's now or never if he wants to reach that next level.

How can we improve the overall state of futbol in Ecuador? A lot of the teams are in bad financial state. Some of it is by their own undoing. They go out and purchase foreigners that throw their B/S completely out of whack. Putting a cap on the amount of foreigners a team can sign should be a consideration. Maybe four is too high. It'd be cool if all the foreigners that come to the league perform to expectations and improve the level of play but the stark reality is that they don't. Most end up under performing. Dudes like Hernan Barcos and Marcos Mondaini are few and far between.

Teams definitely have to lower the level of debt they carry on their balance sheets. They're highly leveraged without the adequate income to sustain their operations. You see the results everywhere. The stadiums are in poor shape. With the exception of a handful of clubs, player development programs are nonexistent in most clubs. Some teams don't even have the money to pay their players. Look at Dep Quito. That team is a joke. God knows when's the last time they paid their players. You expect a player to bust his balls for an organization that hasn't paid him in months?...Its sad really. These guys have families to maintain. They're not robots. If you want them to fully dedicate themselves to their profession than pay them on time. Players should worry about the game plan for the upcoming week rather than wonder if their team is gonna pay them on time. These are just some of the institutional problems the league faces. It really is no surprise that fans don't flock to the stadiums.

I'd say bring down number of foreigners to 3.

Create a cap system where a team can't spend more than a certain amount of money.

Copy what ever Germany league does. If I remember correctly the teams can't have any debt. Give them an amount of time to pay or get relegated by taking points away until they pay. FEF has to enforce the rules though but they don't. They always say that team will be penalized but when time comes nothing happens. Then again teams in trouble never end up paying their players.

A new rule should be implimented that if the club makes a signed contract with a player and doesn't follow it, then that player is freed from that contract. Players shouldn't need to be attached to a contract when a team break their promise to pay them.

Let teams do their own tv contracts. Chiriboga pretty much stole the $$$ from big clubs and gave it to smaller ones by letting FEF handle tv contracts. This is to buy their votes next year when elections come.

There are a lot of things the FEF could be doing. Chiriboga just doesn't give a f u c k.

Independiente pretty much handed the etapa to emelec today. wow in other news we got to be excited about Cristian Suarez scoring today,I still believe he's an interesting option for our NT, specially since he's our most scoring winger.

Anyone can explain what is going on with the Ecuadorian League now? A bit confusing. I don't get who is saying what. Who the AFE? What is the FEF going to do? Man. All going down hill in Ecuador. Lol. Thanks to who ever explains it.

I don't think we should look at Suarez as a serious option for the NT. He's 28 (turns 29 in November) so he's not that old. Nevertheless I think we should try to build towards the future and give some of the younger guys that are coming up a shot. Suarez is also a player that struggles with staying healthy so that's something that should be taken into account.

AFE = Asociacion de Futbolistas Ecuatorianos, in a lot of ways what they are is a syndicate or a union, pretty much the players pay a fee of their salary to be part of it and it interferes on your behalf whenever an injustice is done to a player or a fine or punishment too severe.
In this particular case they have (with every legal right as a union) decided to strike, meaning refusing to work (play) based on some of it's members (with the exception of players from Liga, Independiente, Mushuc Runa, Emelec) not collecting salary payments some of them from March.

I understand, yet, however some experienced players will be nice, Suares brings variety of options, he can play as a striker (position our NT is very limited) Left Wing (we have yet to find a back up for Montero) he's an excellent free kick shooter and a beast of an outside shot.

depending on his form, he could help out a bit as a back up for maybe half of the Qualifier, but otherwise like The Machine said, we gotta build towards the future. But if we got younger guys doing as good or better than him before Copa America and Qualifiers, then I'd go with the young guys. It's tougher to get the younger guys in the picture later on if they don't start getting the experience and exposure starting now (before Copa America and the Qualifier). Once the process begins and the coach "finds" his ideal starting 11 and consolidates the squad, it becomes difficult for other guys to come in unless there's 1. an injury or 2. a players performance/form drops and someone else is on the rise.

Granted. his form must be top class, all I'm saying is that Cristian Suarez at top form is a nice alternative.
this process will be a very interesting one, this will probably be the most important coach decision in recent memory, it is pointless to start discussing formations and plans, yet I will say this, a lot of the players that played the World cup, with the exception of Walter, Castillo and Gugua. will probably be our starters in Copa America, of course, they'll need to stay in form and competitive, as a matter of fact it would not totally surprise me seeing Walter in Copa America since it's less than a year away and that position will be a headache to fill trust me, there is not a NT level LB in our futbol today, not anywhere near Walter's level anyway. I mean I do want to see Gonzalez getting called but with Valencia, Ibarra and possibly Joao Rojas I dont see much space for him yet, our midfield, I hope Gruezo consolidates himself, as our DM and of course Cazarez, Miller Bolanos and Gaibor must be looked at, Montero assuming he does ok in Swansea will own that left wing for a while, Arroyo and Fidel are solid back ups,
In other words I guess I just expect new faces in our defense. lol Who do you think should be called this 4 games this fall?

well since Rueda is not continuing, and it is rumored strongly that Bauza has been seriously taken into consideration we could imagine the NT will use carrileros, a linea de 3, and a lone striker with 2 players creating opportunities behind him. Anyways, until it's official that Bauza is the DT we can't jump into anything.

I think Walter will and should continue 1 more year until Copa America, maybe even the first few games of the Qualifier (usually there's 4 games between september-november of 2015)until everything gets situated. I think if he's on the bench during the first 4 Qualifier games he'll at least be key during training in transmitting confidence in the locker room to whoever the new guys are playing in the defensive roles, and to the team in general. After that, es otra historia. Right now my idea on who should be part of the NT during these next 4 friendlies would be the following:

    Keepers:
    Alexander Dominguez
    Maximo Banguera
    Adrian Bone

    Defense:
    Frickson Erazo
Gabriel Achilier OR Jorge Guagua (whoever has more playing time in Emelec which right now is Achilier)
    Luis Canga
    Andres Mendoza
    John Narvaez
    Juan Carlos Paredes
    Cristian Ramirez
    Walter Ayovi

another player to keep in mind who is doing well right now showing consistency for a while: Jose Madrid, but i wouldn't interrupt his flow in Liga for the first two friendlies. Maybe call him for the 2nd set of friendlies. I'd also keep Robert Arboleda in mind for the second set of friendlies as well.

    Midfield:
    Cristian Noboa
    Carlos Gruezo
    Alex Bolanos OR Oswaldo Minda
    Pedro Quinonez
    Antonio Valencia
    Renato Ibarra
    Jefferson Montero
Miller Bolanos (he's been consistent enough these last few months to consider him by now)

    Forwards:
    Michael Arroyo
    Enner Valencia
    Felipe Caicedo
    Cristian Penilla

I'd keep an eye out for Marlon De Jesus depending on how he does this season too. But also for the second set of friendlies to not interrupt his flow.

For now, that would be my list. Obviously as time goes by things are subject to change and if Bauza were to come into the pic, we will end up selecting players in a totally different ways b/c we know he plays differently. But I think everyone on this list for the moment rightfully deserves a spot on the NT.

Later on we can include Gaibor, Cevallos Jr., Marlon, Gabriel Corozo, Marcos Caicedo, Junior Sornoza, Fernando Leon, Juan Cazares etc. but we have to let them do their thing in their clubs these first few months
and see how things work out for them. They'll get their chance, but right now I think these players ^ are the most consistent players in their club teams. The only adjustments in the attacking half that I made were Miller Bolanos and Penilla's inclusion. The rest of the players, everyone is familiar with. In the defense is where i'd keep four guys with experience (Erazo, Paredes, Walter, Achilier/Guagua) and add in 4 young players as their back ups to slowly start including them into the picture. Cristian Ramirez being one of the young guys who has already played a few official games. But for now, this is how I believe the new process should begin w/ adjustments being made bits at a time.

Bauza has the same opinion I do about where the crisis in our futbol originated from. I always said here, the ecuadorian club teams got caught in the trend of spending tons of money after Liga's 2008 performance at international level to try and emulate what Liga did in the Libertadores.

    Bauza:
“Se veía venir, los presupuestos de todos los clubes ecuatorianos han ido en aumento con los años después de que Liga tuvo sus años exitosos internacionales (2008, 2009 y 2010), los clubes grandes empezaron a aumentar su presupuesto para llegar a situaciones parecidas y los chicos también lo hicieron, para no quedarse atrás, culminó Bauza.

I always have stated that there was a before and after 2008 which in a way led to all this mess. It's a shame other dirigentes thought they could achieve what Liga did by just spending and not take into consideration that Liga had to undergo a process that at one point even had us suffering w/ Bauza at the very beginning. This was the root of it all. Had Liga not accomplished what they did between 2008-2011, the ambition or hunger to sign expensive players would've most likely not been sparked.

Given all that's going on, there are team's that still want to bring in expensive foreigners. If you have have the budget for it, go for it. The problem is that these teams don't have the resources for it. Look at BSC, up until Tuesday, they owed their players a heck load of money. They're still in the red though. They still owe their players money. Yet they want to bring in Taca Bieler. How high a salary do you think he'll command?...I'd say its a substantial sum. Call me crazy but it doesn't add up. You can't even pay your own players yet you want to bring him in? It doesn'tmake sense to me. These dirigentes need to take a class in basic accounting. Its not just BSC. A lot of other teams fall victim to the same thing (think Dep Quito).

Taca Bieler easily will be making a good 40k a month. Liga wanted to bring him back not too long ago before we signed Anangono and I think Liga offered to pay like 6-8k a month or so and he rejected it. If he goes to BSC he'll be making (if paid lol) 5 times more. Some teams just don't learn their lesson. I look at BSC and see Suarez, Penilla, Esterilla, Nieto, and now they want Bieler? wtf is this, the south american man city? I don't even know how the FEF permits this when other player salaries haven't came through yet. The Noboa's are obsessed with Bieler since a while ago, but they need to get real. They have 4 really good players up front. Todos bien rendidores. Why would you want Bieler? Makes no sense. And if Bieler goes, I'm sure no liguista will want to see him making a return to Liga ever again. If you say you'd never play in a certain club due to respect to another club, stick to your word or just don't say sh*t about it. That simple. It's like if Damian Diaz would come to Liga....I'm sure BSC fans wouldn't be fond of that idea. I think it's simple to just NOT say something if you're not going to stick to your word.

I'd rather get paid the 8k than knowing I won't get a cent at Barcelona. They're my team but I'd be retarded to go there.

So Chiriboga and the players made up and we are back on again. Anyone got detail on what is going to change (in rules) or what was agreed on? All I know is that somehow FEF paid about 12 million to pay off all the pass debts of the clubs. No one knows where that money came from lol. The players weren't going to start the league if the FEF and the clubs didn't pay the passed debts. So somehow the FEF came with 12 million. Man, Chiriboga is doing some shady stuff it seems lol. First FEF paying players from D. Quito about $100k and now putting up 12 million. Crazy.

Ok, so the "13" demands the AFE was asking,
    1) one of them was that all "owed paychecks" were to be payed right away,
2)also that clubs present a budget plan and player salaries to FEF,
    3) Clubs will no longer be allowed to owe 3 months before they are considered late.
    4) If Clubs owe money to players they cannot add new players (about damn time)
5)That Decision about players contracts have an specific judge and that this makes this cases go on faster (unlike Jose Ayovi's case)
6)Paid Vacation for players and Social Security
7)Youngsters players to have time limited contracts unlike now that youngsters beg to be waived off.
The rest are more contract specifications and stuff
but yes FEF Miraculously pulled almost 12 million to bring futbol back.

players like Victor Estupinan would be happy as hell getting 8k. I read this article http://www.elcomercio.com/deportes/futbol-victor-estupinan-crisis-deportivo-quito.html and I felt bad for him and the rest of the D. Quito players. It's so irresponsible that the FEF has allowed teams to get away with this type of treatment. The man can't even maintain himself, let's not even speak about his family. He barely has enough funds to have a meal sometimes. Smh, this is frustrating and it angers me. How could you be so irresponsible as a club team to permit these things to happen and give players false expectations when it comes to salary? And yet the fans ask so much from the players while these guys are struggling to survive. Life is just not fair sometimes. But this is all the FEF's fault b/c they allow it and let it slide by like it's nothing. Til this day, I do not know what terms of agreements were made this week for the suspension of the campeonato to be canceled and the funny thing is, neither do most of the dirigentes. Maybe Chiri gave Edwin and Ivan some change so they could play along and said shhhh. That's the type of sh*t that happens in our futbol.

While I totally agree in how much more the FEF could have done to have this avoided yet not all blame goes to them, club managers made ridiculous signings, I remember when people were talking about financial problems in D. Quito then all of a sudden they started hiring Castillo, Ischia and more, names that just were not realistic.

Let's also discuss a serious problem our futbol has, the fanbase, I am not kidding when I say that we are the league along with Venezuela's the lowest attendance, even Uruguay (a much smaller population) and Paraguay( again less people) have higher attendance. Is there a reason to this? The NT has been competitive for 20 years, Liga's success was historic, but even if that was not even close to being repeated by any other club, our International performances have not been "bad" Emelec has managed to come out of the group, Loja and Independiente have also done acceptable campaigns, BSC had a couple of decent Sudamericanas. cus of my age I remember very bad Libertadores for us but even then we saw a decent or good turn up every weekend in our campeonato, I remember full stadiums for Liga/Aucas, Dep Cuenca had such a strong following, Olmedo as well, Guayaquil was amazing every weekend, what happened?
I'll use for example BSC, we average 2 home games a month during a season, with a 80% full stadium charging standard prices that would give us over $140,000 monthly, more than enough for salaries and SRI.

BSC's attendance IMO has gone down the last 2 years IMO. After the campeonato 2012 I feel like I don't see as many people in the stadiums anymore. I don't have the numbers to prove it, but i just get that feeling that El Monumental isn't so packed as it used to be. Or it might just be me. Emelec has a very loyal following, probably the most loyal in the country. They've always filled up the Capwell on a consistent basis. It's just sad the rest of the teams can't support the team in the tough moments as well. At this point we all know what has our futbol facing a crisis and why it happens, but I just would like the answer to: How is it going to change? What are we going to do to improve this horrible situation effectively? What has to be done?

great article on how the crisis in the futbol ecuatoriano came about the some of the salaries certain players were making. I can't believe that a player like Marwin Pita was mkaing 32,000+ a month in El Nacional last season. That is beyond ridiculous. And that's El nacional, a team that is considered to not pay much. I can already imagine what BSC offered players. I can see the Mexican league teams paying a player that type of money and even a bit more, but geez how crazy is that? I remember hearing a while back that Saritama and Castillo were paid 50,000 or more per month in D.Quito back when they were there. Those type of numbers shock me. I have no idea how these club teams never thought this would bite them in the ass later on.

There isnt an easy solution, nor a quick one, the only way to heal our futbol is with bigger commitments from all parties, FEF, Club managers, press, fans and players too.
    My ideas.
-Managers MUST be more responsible, most club presidents are aware that they are in a four year borrowed time, they really don't care about the long term consequences that their decisions will bring towards the club, they know by that time they'll be out of there.
-FEF Must supervise club presidents and club not just on finances but also staff, I do believe that a salary cap rule must be forced upon clubs but also they have to raise the bar on personal allowed to work in our futbol, You will be surprised how many executives taking major decisions on important matters such as youth divisions and nourishing do not have any type of degrees on the subject.
Another thing, create some type of seminars or orientation sessions where a professional speaks to Managers and youth division coaches the importance of player developments and how it can lead to player sales and avoiding bringing foreign players.
-Press They need to start being a little more constructive, I understand the concept of criticism, but when a mid table team such as Liga de Loja (example only) loses 2 matches in a row, the press right away start throwing the idea of him not being right for the task, how many signings and firings have started with the press, all this leads to contracts being broken, fees and asterisks all affecting the club, it's the same with players, How many times do they make up a rumor just to stir things up.
-Fans This is obvious, fans need to support their teams, this gives clubs a major income and it helps to prove to sponsors that out futbol is something worth investing on, I will always use the Mexican league for example, a country with not a big history in futbol, a lot of disappointments, yet their fans are top notch, watch any game any given weekend, you will not see less than 20,000 people in their stadiums.
-Players they need to be more realistic with their demands, as B9 said, Marwin Pita over 30,000 a month, that is absurd, no club should be able to afford that in our league. I understand players looking for their own interest but at some point you have to wonder, how can they afford to pay me this? If players want to earn these type of salaries they should work hard on going to Mexico or Europe, this salaries make me wonder if this isn't one of the reasons on why we have so few players abroad, I mean why would you leave? in NBA recently during the free agency season we heard of many players taking salary cuts in order to create more salary cap to make their teams more successful, granted we are talking in different currencies and levels but the concept and idea is the same. This of course cannot be implemented into a rule or law but an ethic, As I said everyone needs to participate.

One last thought, We really should learn from countries such as Argentina, where player formation isn't just a system to train young players but a true "development" program,in Argentina not only you have coaches but you have true Physical educators that teach you how to run properly, use your characteristics to your advantage instead of a basic training, they have nutritionists that help them develop and reach full potential. our players have got to be one of the most fitted in the continent if not the most, imagine if we develop them this way from young age. Argentinians are not a physical blessed team yet you look at their young divisions and they out jump, outrun most opponents even when they are shorter or less bulked, look how physical superiority was a non factor against them during all of the World Cup. Just an idea. We need to become a player factory, we should be selling instead of buying players. the financial result of that would be such a game changer in our futbol.
