Yes, but I don't meant that as a praise but he is very good and players from Portugal's league move easily to England.
As long as they are being utilized correctly (see Anderson at Man United). Next thing we know, Talisca will be played as a volante and will struggle to adapt..
Playing in the Premier League doesn't mean Brazil has plenty of talent, tons of average (by international standards) players play there and with or without Anderson Talisca, Brazil will still be lacking talented players. But players often move from Portugal to England, and given Benfica's connections, I think there is a very good chance Anderson Talisca ends up there too.
The EPL holds no weight in anything I said, Talisca's the truth idc where he plays. There was plenty of talent at the Toulon tourney (compared to the other countries) and I would have made 5 or 6 amendments to that roster. It's sad I'm the optimistic one on this forum now and days.
Yes, the Toulon team was good (notice other teams fielded U19 teams though) but one thing is how they did there, another thing is how they will do in the next years, maybe I am pessimistic but I think many will derail one way or another. Hopefully much of the Toulon team will be used in the Olympics too so their transition from youth NTs to senior can be better done.
Yea i'm cautiously optimistic since I don't hold as much weight as most do in youth tourneys. I just have been liking what I've seen from these kids battling and getting consistent game action week to week in the Brasileirao.
I agree with the part I marked in bold, prior to the transfer, Anderson Talisca was arguably the best young player in the league, there are Lucas Silva and Gabigol too. But I always have doubt if any promising players will be enough to succeed at the national team in long term, especially as they move to other leagues and not always adapt, or managers there decide to use them in some silly way, etc... I have also lost faith in youth development here, while there is no doubt there are still promising players, I don't think Brazil is anywhere near as dominant at youth development as Brazil used to be. There are too many problems at youth level here like focus on winning rather than developing the 'fundamentos', too many players exported too early (like Anderson Talisca although he thankfully went to Portugal instead of leagues less focused on development), while other countries seem to be catching up.
Bernard is on vacations as he played the World Cup, so he isn't with the rest of the squad. According to the Ukrainians, he is expected to leave Shakhtar this window, but nothing certain about his destination.
Lucas to Eintracht Frankfurt. Thomas Schaaf is a very good Coach for young players in the past like Özil, Ismael, Naldo and the special Ailton
Talisca is looking really good. Probably premature for him as Coutinho and Firmino are more deserving, but still.
