    @IvanIV

    Have the whole season's fixtures been released for the Premier League and/or League Championship or just the beginning?

    FIFA cares about posting the schedule for a league on BigSoccer? The schedule wasn't made by FIFA. Even if FIFA doesn't want you to post the schedule, what if anything gives them the legal power to stop you or to punish you if you do so?

    fifa or whoever. i've never personally gotten into trouble but another site i post has been warned/or gotten stung about posting the whole thing. so i decided to play it safe. really a waste of time anyway because you can go to any league site now and get the whole thing. i just wanted to start the new Wednesday thread. @pook beat me to it last year.

    Nice finish that worthy of being a winner.

    We lost 1-0 to Derby but lots of positives to take from it. 1> we didn't get trounced by a team tipped to be promotion candidates, 2> we created chances and had a couple cleared off the line.

    More interesting is the fall out from Wednesday snatching Stevie May from under our noses, our club is boycotting BBC Radio Sheffield. :sneaky:

    steve evans in ethical indignation shocker!

    I can't say that I'm 100% up on what's happened, though. someone at RS tipped off Wednesday to the structure of May's contract and they were able to nip in and get him from under Rovrum's noses, or something? I empathize with the frustration ... but evans usually tends to come off the twunt, doesn't he?

    do you get to the New York Stadium, then, myshoe? how is it? can't imagine how much better that must be than the Don Valley.

    Hi pookspur,

    Since Steve Evans has been with us he's been really well behaved to be honest, everybody else in the Football League hates him for his past but for us that's good as it means that clubs are less likely to come in for him as their fans would riot. What he has done on the pitch (2 promotions in 2 seasons) cannot be knocked and he did similar at Crawley before us.

    As for the Radio Sheffield boycott nobody knows for sure what has happened but rumours are pointing to what you have said, I don't see an issue with them releasing details personally as the medias job is to inform the public. I think the main issue that our club have with them is that if the shoe had been on the other foot and it was Wednesday chasing him, Radio Sheffield would have probably kept the information under lock and key so that they wouldn't be responsible for torpedoing the deal for Wednesday. I know it's called Radio Sheffield but the BBC is tax payer funded and it covers the whole of South Yorkshire so all we want is some impartiality, we are cosying up to Rother FM now which is a Rotherham radio station.

    I don't go to every match but I attend when I can, even when I don't go I still follow them all the time much like yourselves. Don Valley was poor due to the running track and distance from the pitch but it was only temporary and better than being ripped off by the previous owners who owned Millmoor, plus being there for 4 years made moving to the NYS feel that much better. They've started demolishing Don Valley Stadium now and are from what I last heard planning to build a new super school on the land. Millmoor still sits empty.

    Sorry for crashing a Wednesday thread with Rotherham stuff but it's somewhat relevent. ;)

    IvanIV you should check out Praise or Grumble if you can get it working (UK proxy?), it's broadcast Saturday after the matches all of the local South Yorkshire folk call in and talk about how their club played and they have post match interviews and stuff (probably not from us anymore :p), you should find it interesting.

    I wouldn't worry too much about topic congestion on this thread. :D I can't imagine anyone here getting bent out of shape about any South Yorkshire commentary ... so long as it's not pro-porcine, mind.
