"Sky Sports understands Aston Villa, Stoke City, Everton, West Ham and Newcastle are all ready to swoop for Brooks, who has three years left on his current deal at the Olympic Stadion."

    Everton!

With a World Cup goal to his name, maybe the DFB will be looking at Brooks more closely for the upcoming Euro qualifiers.

More like John Brooks can play in the Olympics and Copa America Centennial for the US. And yeah he's cap tied to the US now.

If it wasn't obvious, I was having a bit of fun riffing on the past few pages' discussion.

I wouldn't joke about things like that, we still run the risk of losing Fabian Hürzeler to Germany.

I was just telling FA that this might be my favorite response to a goal, ever.

His reaction to the goal will go down as one of the more memorable moments of the World Cup--and I'm not just talking about here in America. Dude's reaction is priceless and based upon the exposure he's already getting from this and his obvious upside, the offers will be rolling in before long.

Look at his reax after the goal! Brooks is clearly overwhelmed by the moment. Dude is so not ready for this stage. Fire Klinsmann!!

A lot of people that were on the "Why is JAB on the team over Goodson/Evans" rants are pretty quiet now. I saw his upside and I'm actually glad that JK took a chance on him. He had minor problems that could be corrected with a month of intense training in addition to the athleticism.

Goodson and Evans, while I love their commitment and passion for the team, they just don't have it. The decision has paid major dividends.
