I'm not feeling anxious anymore, that's for sure. Not scared either though. I just hope they go out there and get back to their short passing game. Reading that Greek forum is kinda funny, after losing 3-0 they seem quite positive.
so lads yesterday was disappointing but we have to continue believing yes we played poorly but if we play ot our best we can still do it win versus greece is a must of course and a good goal difference would help a lot it could mean we only need draw against colombia
Add these logos in the opener guys: I'm scared too but I'm pretty sure that this match will be one of those matches that changes everything, in one way or another. It can be the last "real" match of Zac or the beginning of his final consacration, hope so!
My prediction still stands. Japan 3-1 Greece Honda will be the engine of the team grabbing 2 goals in a very clutch manner, hitting VTEC by firing all his cylinders. Kagawa will get his first WC goal.
An important fact (dunno if someone noticed it): Colombia vs Ivory Coast will take place BEFORE Japan vs Greece, 6 hours before. Than Japan will play knowing what they need. SCENARIO 1: Colombia win (1 goal of difference) Colombia 6 +4 Ivory Coast 3 +0 SCENARIO 2: Colombia win (2+ goal of difference) Colombia 6 +5 or more Ivory Coast 3 -1 or less SCENARIO 3: Colombia and Ivory Coast draw Colombia 4 +3 Ivory Coast 4 +1 SCENARIO 4: Ivory Coast win (1 goal of difference) Ivory Coast 6 +2 Colombia 3 +2 LAST SCENARIO: Ivory Coast win (2+ goal of difference) Ivory Coast 6 +3 or more Colombia 3 +1 or less
This is certainly an advantage for Japan. I really hope Colombia lose or win. Or if Colombia win I hope they win alot. Or else, it would all come down to who scored more against Greece.
The reason I am scared is that I stayed up till 3 am went to bed aroun 6am and entire day literally had on my mind the shitty performance. I am scared of being disappointed and having my day slightly ruined Dont know if it makes sense but it's how it is
I am already very disappointed. Not for the loss, but because of the "lost identity" as you put it last night. I see people are still clinging to "we can do it"; but I don't care so much about the groups anymore. If it had been a hard-fought loss where they played their style but couldn't get enough goals.... I would be very anxious, still believing. But all I want is to see this team play how they should be; win/lose/draw ... I just want to see that sharp passing return first. If it goes well against Greece, then I can worry about scenarios for the 3rd match.
Japan faced Greece only one time before: 19/06/2005 in Frankfurt, Greece 0 : 1 Japan (0:0), 76' Oguro (former Zac player in Torino). The lineup was Yoshikatsu KAWAGUCHI (GK) Akira KAJI Makoto TANAKA Tsuneyasu MIYAMOTO (C) Alessandro SANTOS Mitsuo OGASAWARA (-74') Takashi FUKUNISHI Hidetoshi NAKATA Shunsuke NAKAMURA (-89') Keiji TAMADA (-66') Atsushi YANAGISAWA Subs: Yasuhito ENDO (+74') Koji NAKATA (+89') Masashi OGURO (+66') <- Match Winner I've a feel that Okubo will do the same this time...
True, the whole team was bad... but he just seems to not have it as a midfield when they need to defend.
Everybody knows Endo can't defend to save his life since forever, why blaming it on him now? He didn't fu.ck up too much with his passing either.
