just show your email confirmation of tickets to the consulate. there is no birth date on that so you'll be fine.

[and yes, i only took in my email confirmation of tickets to get my visa and it was accepted]

I had selected self-collection of tickets during my applications.. but it seems i will be reaching my match venue on the day of the match only due to some changes in travel plan! Is there a way I can assign someone to collect tickets on my behalf? Any agency that does so? I am watching a Round 16 match in porto alegre.

I believe you can pick up your R16 PA tickets in another host city at a collection center.

Edit: OR at the collection station in PA, or the PA airport ticketing machine, just not at the stadium itself on game day? < Not entirely sure about all that.

have thought about that, both the Grapefruit League & also the Cactus League out in Arizona. But our girls have had exams at that time of year for about the last 15 years, so we will wait until the youngest finishes high-school, next summer. Then we will start to take our main holiday in spring. It's easy to cope with the summers in the UK, they are often quite good, no seriously. But in the autumn/winter/spring, the clouds are usually about ten feet above ground level for months at a time, you need some sort of sun-break to stay sane. I usually do Hamburg for a long weekend, combine hiking with football (a St Pauli home game). Cold but nearly always sunny.

Shame our Brasil schedules don't look like they overlap. Would have been good to chat to a fellow baseball fan. As you can imagine there are not that many in the UK. I pay £15-20 extra on my cable so I can watch life games. Oftetn why I am up until 2am on a weekday night because you just have to make sure that the Cards (or whoever) do manage to hold out 1-0, in the worst game you've ever seen!!

Am I missing something or is there no way to sell back PMA tickets at this time? I received USSF's email indicating one but I don't see anything...

There is. When you log into your PMA account, there is a link to the resale page.

That link only brings me to my general tickets, my PMA tickets aren't listed.

Just read on the newspaper here in Rio that 10,000 tickets were bought by Argentinians only for the Final.....

.....which means that I don't need to cheer for Brazil to be eliminated before the Final.

By the way, another 10,000 tickets were bought by Rio natives, according to the same article. And no one shows here to make an offer....

So how did they get them??

The only time they have been seen available is in the first ballot. Can't imagine 10000 Argies got lucky and only a few from the rest of the planet.

Can possibly understand FIFA dishing a pile of Finals tickets out to the locals but just don't understand how 10k Argies could get so lucky??

so as long as Argentina/Brazil crash out there should be a huge flock of FINAL tickets flying around? Just checking the Argentina list and if it goes the way it should, they might vs Portugal in the quarter finals or even France in the round of 16 if one team finishes second and the other first

The CBF (Brazilian Football Federation) would have received a significant allocation for the local "football family."

The Argentina number sounds strange to me. Indeed the reports on the first phase seemed to indicate Argentinians received far fewer tickets per application than most other countries.

I also found strange, but I just re-read and it says 10,000 cat1 tickets (that cat1 part I think it is wrong, in the article it says that "all of them spent R$ 1980")

It might also include TST tickets.

It's the final. I don't think there will be a lot of tickets flying around regardless of the game.

    @Rominger which newspaper was that?

i think it would have to be conditional tickets to the final - that number seems fair to me.

We wish! I'm from Argentina. Don't know anyone who got a ticket for the final on the FIFA ballots! Maybe tickets for big companies to invite important clients/customers and for football club board members but not much for true fans! Even a short allocation for Argentina-Bosnia and round of 16 Sao Paolo. Still trying to get that!
Good luck and great world cup for all of you guys!

You are right! On the first phase from more than 260000 request we got only 4500 tickets. Nothing! And most of them for Argentina-Iran and Argentina-Bosnia.

Yeah, that's the only way I can see it being true, and even then I'm skeptical.

You have to log into the specific PMA site which from the link provided in the supporter club emails which should be a different username and access than your regular account.

Do you think there is a possibility that there will be tickets to the opening game available later on in may?

The thing is that I arrive in Sao Paulo on 10 June, and my first game is in Salvador the 13e. So I'm about to decide if I shold go directly to Salvador or if I should stay in Sao Paulo until after the opning game, and take a morning flight to Salvador on the 13e. Already booked accommodation in Salvador from the 13-17.

I'm in a similar situation. I plan be in SP but I have no plans to go to the Opening Game. I really really really doubt tickets will show up on the FIFA web site and if they do you need to be incredibly lucky to be the first to see them and buy them, but they aren't going to show up anyway. Like who is going to sell off the Opening Game at a loss when the tickets are going for way over face value and are easily sold?

If you have accommodations already, just being in SP on June 12 is going to be great, it'll be an electric atmosphere wherever you are. If somehow you get lucky and run into someone with an extra ticket after you get to SP....well then it's probably a fake!

There were a couple of articles last week that said that there existed the possibility that opening game match tickets may be released for sale in mid May. I can try to find a link to the article when I'm done with my errands.

Needless to say, I would be absolutely thrilled to be wrong and to get my hands on any Opening Match seat at face value. I don't care if it's the worst seat in the stadium. I hope you're right.
