So Leon drew both games, while Santos looks to lose both legs. So Santos was better how exactly?

They were both awful, but Santos looked good for a while because their group was weaksauce.

I guess Liga MX teams learnt their lesson, do not take any group stage game lightly. If Santos would have gone strong in the last game, they would have probably faced a weaker team. If Marquez would have made that penal, but whatever. What's done is done. Just had to spazz for a bit.

And that's all she wrote for Liga MX in this year's Copa Libertadores. Until next time...

Thing is defensive mistakes cannot be made at this level. Your team makes a defensive mistake against a MLS team in the CCL, and no one notices because they won't take advantage of it. Here, though, almost every mistake comes with a price. I think dominating your confederation has messed up your clubs' mentality in international games. Same reason why they keep choking in the Club World Cup.

dats not the issue, we can send our minnows to bully the MLS clubs but when it comes to south americans we have to send the big boys. That is a fact if not look at the historic results.

Santos is a Big Boy right now. Only Toluca and Cruz Azul may be playing a bit better. But Santos in no way is a minnow, they're one of the best clubs in Mexico, right now.

Estan entre los primeros lugares, pero no tienen la mentalidad de un grande.

Nacional defiende bien. The Paraguayan teams are tough nuts to crack. Don't underestimate them. I wouldn't be surprised if they eliminate Velez.

It's just one of those nights where everything goes wrong. None of our forwards are clicking and you can't win a game like that.

LOL @ wilas commenting on sending the "big boys" when they couldn't get out of Concachafa group stages. The problem is that both the teams big teams in the league are inexperienced in this tournament. If we manage to maintain our level in the league and qualify for the next edition things will be much better

fact of the matter is that if there is one thing Mexican clubs know, its inconsistency.

We have not been playing well at all this season. The start to our season was like a train wreck. Yet were still up there.Caixinha really shit the bed tonight though.

Schelotto totally outcoached Caixinha. And worse in the second, when Santos comes out with 3 defenders and 5 attacking players. Just nuts.
