    WE'VE GOT A SQUAD !

Honestly, on paper that's a pretty impressive first team.

Yes, it's a good start. But we need more D.

I like the player selection so far which shows a shift from defensive focus to an offensive focus. We don't have four to five CDM's anymore. There were just too many defensive minded midfielders the past two seasons.

Well, we kind of have a squad. I don't know anyone that would run a 3-4-4 :), but yes, we can fully man a starting roster :)

Well I'd run that formation. We be running and gunning! Imagine all the high scoring games, 8-6, 12-9! Makes it sooooooo exciting! ;-)

Who's the hypocrite? You?? scared that your tactics of trying to buy the league did not go as planned? There is a difference about overpaying for a player, and signing someone who was cut last minute. But hey your just upset because the Cosmos will have to play a full season and not have the season gift wrapped for them.

I was saying it was a good move for San Antonio. You should make
moves like that as all teams should. Your GM is a clown for emptying his purse on the table over Denisson and then doing this. That is all. The more ambitious teams in NASL the merrier.

Golly this conversation is everywhere... Fortunately for everyone the season will be starting sooner rather than later. ;)

I'd be inclined to believe you if there were numbers to back up what you're calling out.

Until you post them, there aren't ... and you're the clown for calling out someone on something you don't even know to actually be true.

Eh, his salary was actually 237K (that whole compensation number gets wonky)

I wonder what he was due this season ?

Personally, I love it (as long as he can stay on the field) .... I'm a fan.

Eric Hassli scored a beautiful goal against the Seattle Sounders back in 2011 when he played for the Whitecaps.
Eric Hassli of the Vancouver Whitecaps scores a wonder-goal! .

Coach says we're all but done with signings.

K: Jeremy Vuolo, David Bingham (loan)
D: Stephen DeRoux, Greg Janicki, Adrian Cann, Julius James, Jonathan Borrajo
M: Javier Saavedra, Danny Barrera, Jeff Jennings, Richard Menjivar, Josue Soto, Shaun Saiko
F: Sainey Touray, Tomasz Zahorski, Walter Restrepo, Jonathan Fana, Sam Garza (loan), Eric Hassli

A bit thing in the back ..... even if the "one or two more for depth" are defenders.

A lot of strikers in the club. Will be interesting to see who will get the majority of playing time - seeing as strikers seem to have the biggest egos on any club.

Hassli will be eased in I'm sure, and Restrepo and Fana are hybrids as opposed to out and out FWD.

Seems logical that they would, but he didn't receive a lot of playing time here on loan... I think the Scorpions will settle with Saiko as a backup midfield for Restrepo, Menjivar and Barrera.

I read in the comments section of a Freddy Adu article from soccerbyives.net that Adu received an offer from the Scorpions and that he refused without consideration. The person commented that it was on record that they made the offer but I couldn't find anything on it. Does anyone know if this happened? Just curious and not that it matters. The Scorpions picked up Rafael Castillo, who I think is better and will bring much more to the team than Freddy Adu.

I think it's funny that he flat our refuses to consider certain teams .... when he continually flunks out at the level he thinks he's at, and below.
