Bradley outplayed Pjanic last time they met (USA v BiH), so he wanted to continue the trend...

Just spoke to Michael Bradley. On leaving Roma "I didn't feel I was taking on a big enough role. I felt complimentary to what was going on"

Because we're not going to believe he's actually signed with TFC until we get the cheesy presentation photo of him wearing their shirt and giving the thumbs-up sign.

They should present him with money bags instead of a shirt. Sometimes it's best to be honest.

So this thread stays open, but the Adu thread where he is still technically a Yank Abroad is closed. Totally makes sense.

I think MB is technically more abroad than Adu at the moment.

While I don't doubt money was reason #1, is it really so far-fetched to think that MB might see helping to turn around the fortunes of an MLS club with a great location and fanbase but that's been snakebit since their inception as a goal worth fighting for?

Complementary. Although he probably meant supplementary. Which indeed is what he was to them.

Nope, he ment complimentary. As in, "Nice work, Stroot!" and "Good job Daniele getting stuck in on Chiellini!" That's evidently how Garcia envisioned Bradley's role going forward.

    That about does it.

YA is dying a slow death.

BTW, this is obviously about chasing the paper for Mikey. If he wanted to take on a very important role, grow into being a better leader and challenge himself in his best years, he could have done that for a mid table club in the EPL or Bund and done it at a higher level.

It's Mikey's right to chase the paper, but he could have accomplished those same challenges at a higher level in Europe. It's not as if his only opportunity to be a key player, a leader, to take on a bigger role was at TFC at an MLS cellar-dweller.

Good think he doesn't have any hair as he'll be wanting to pull it out within a few months when he sees his options to pass too.

Shame they didn't buy Ronaldo and Asamoah instead.

I do find it interesting though that most opinions were that Defoe and Clint didn't get along when Clint was at Spurs. Somehow I think Clint had an influence on Defoe wanting to come and play in MLS.

I'd find it less far-fetched if in the past Bradley has stated in interviews that giving suffering MLS fans something to be happy about is a big priority for him. Maybe he has indeed said this in the past, though.

Should've went to Chivas USA if that was his goal, though. I'd say those 300 fans deserve something more so than anyone else in MLS fandom.

300? Still better than the mothership in Mexico.

Not happening, he would be listed as a DP and our owner is not paying DP money especially for Michael Bradley, besides we have Boca already so.:ROFLMAO:

In anycase it was a stupid move by Michael Bradley to go back to the states he should've tried his hand in Spain on some mid table team if he wanted the leadership role.:thumbsdown:
