Well a 1-0 win wasn't bad, but China really need to improve their shooting.

Where is the home court advantage for China? Sun Ke should have gotten a penalty. The foul was so obvious and the ref was right there.

China only win 1 goal, look at the China NT players, half happy. Happy because of win but not happy with the score. The first half of around 25 minutes seems even for both teams, than the rest of first half dominated by China. Second half dominated by China but several times dangerous for China defence. However the result score was not good because China NT (Fifa rank 97) is one class higher than Indonesia NT (FIFA rank 162), it is 65 ranks lower !!! How is the next result vs Saudi and Iraq ? must improve more and more, especially the finishing.
Other factor is what I have post before : the manager Jackson Tiago is the super factor, a very good result for him a draw and a thin lose, is very good achievement. If only, the manager of Indonesia NT is not him but previous manager, China will have big win because I think the team only 60% ability compare to this current Indonesia team.
hmm, I think Tianjin Songjiang could put hope on him to bring the team to promote to CSL.
By the way, congratulation for China NT for the win.

An interesting fact about the match, Zeng Cheng was playing for Persebaya Surabaya FC - an Indonesian Club on loan back in 2005 and the club manager was Jackson Tiago. :D

It was good performance but lacked the finishing touch. Team needs improvement for the match against Saudi Arabia.

saudi beat iraq 2-1, and the saudis qualified for asian cup 2015.

not sure if they gonna concentrate too much on our match, but we definitely need to win against saudi.
the next game is our only home game left.
once we won, it's a guaranteed ticket and we dont have to wait. let's hope the saudi won't use full team lol.

    saudi arabia 12pts
    china 7pts
    iraq 3pts
    indonesia 1pt

On Wikipedia it says Zeng Cheng played 34 league games for Persebaya in 2005 while on loan. Personally I find that stat quite dubious because Persebaya only played 29 league games that season, so if anyone actually knows his real stats while at Persebaya can someone please tell me.

Hi YenSter, I am searching the information but could not confirm the exact playing time, some mention "short loan" but some mention 34 playing times. But www.theworldfootball.net wrote the loan time 1/2005 to 12/2005 which mean a full year.
    http://www.worldfootball.net/player_summary/cheng-zeng/
So, if one full year, 34 playing times would be correct. Because Zeng Cheng performance very impressive to the club and fans of Persebaya FC.

However, I found more interesting facts during browsing:
From blog Persebaya history written 2010:
    http://yogaajipradana.blogspot.com/2010/03/sejarah-persebaya-persebaya-didirikan.html
"Persebaya've got a very good quality players in the Champions League Djarum 2005, players were named Zeng Cheng he plays as a goalkeeper. Zeng Cheng from China and good as he defended the Chinese U-20 national team as a reserve goalkeeper. And now, Zeng Cheng entered the list of the third goalkeeper in the China Senior National Team."

    http://id.berita.yahoo.com/eks-kiper-persebaya-tampil-lawan-spanyol-214205153.html
Google News Indonesia - Tribune news, even wrote : Ex Persebaya FC goal keeper starting line up for China NT for Spain friendly (June 2012)

In 2012, club fan page, the fans all wishing if they have Jackson Tiago and Zeng Cheng back, because they impress with them both.

Zeng Cheng part of Persebaya history (which means they will never forget !!!)
in the news it mentions after the fans met Zeng Cheng and gave Persebaya souvenir, Zeng Cheng said "I am so happy, that the club that I have played before, still remembering me. And the playing time in Surabaya only one year but it has became a big experience to be what I am today"

    -----
At first, Persebaya FC in 2005, agreed to loan a young 18 years old, un-experience goal keeper from China, the same reason like the European club to sign Chinese player : business factor, because there are huge Indonesian Chinese community in Surabaya City, so they will have more fans and sponsorship and investors from Indonesian Chinese business company.
The fact, this young Zeng Cheng really good, impressive and both the club and fans really love him so much.

Thanks okto for trying your best in finding Zeng Cheng's stats while he was at Persebaya. With the research you've done I've got a better understanding that his time at the club wasn't merely a footnote in his development as I had previously thought.

China NT has bigger chances to qualify to Asian Cup 2015 than Iraq because other coming matches between Indonesia NT vs Iraq NT, Indonesian has the chance to draw Iraq or even win over Iraq.
In Feb 2013 match, Indonesia only lose 1 - 0, the team was under previous manager not Jackson Tiago, and it was away game (Indonesia NT play better for home game).
It will be last game for Jackson Tiago as NT manager, before going to China.

Lol, don't be overconfident. Iraq will beat Indonesia easily. We declined, but not that much.

I expect KSA to tie with China, so the last match between Iraq and China will be do or die.

Indonesia lost 2-0 to a North Korean team a week ago. They are very very weak. And we also outplayed them in the first leg.
We should beat them with high goal margins. We are bad but not that bad. You cannot even compare them with Syria or Lebanon.
China is currently struggling like us. They won their game against Indonesia just 1-0 at home. I can see their game ending 0-0.
    -------

@Suren01, please do not lol, Indonesia NT not a bad team at this moment and China is a good team. Lets see how are the matches will go.

Please. Don't underestimate Iraq. We are in a transition period now. We are basically starting a new lineup every game, but no matter what we are better than Indonesia and at least equal to China

    Guys, take it to PM.

okto, stop writing comments that includes Indonesia all the time. If you support the Chinese NT then stick to China. If you support Indonesia here is a thread where you can write all those comments to your heart's content.

PS - You guys lost to a North Korean club called "April 25" 2-0. You shouldn't be so confident.

I think that we will qualify together with China btw. Group C deserves the best third placed, because all three teams in the group are strong.
