How come the measured fonts (or rather making a letter bigger) has disappeared since last upgrade. Just curious....
There is an icon above the text box at the extreme right. If not, there is text under the text box that says "Use Rich Text Editor." If you use the text editor, you have to type all of the code out and it won't be visible until try "More Options" or post. Is resizing text the only option you see missing? The icon for that is "A" with a up and down arrow next to it. Since I'm here, it makes no sense for "torrent" to be a censored word.
I'd say so. This is the same industry that shut down atdhe.net and it reappeared a few hours later under several sites. Like it or not, the internet is here to stay and "if there's a will, there's a way." BitDownload.
However, 1. Using BT to transfer files is not inherently a civil or criminal offense -- it depends on what files you're transferring. Recall that BT was originally invented by Linux folks, to facilitate the distribution of Linux releases and, later, other free/open source software; and it's still used for such purposes by lots of people. I've used BT this past year to download and share music that was released under Creative Commons licenses that allow sharing with anyone and everyone. 2. The folks who want to use BT for purposes which violate copyright restrictions will find silly but effective ways to dodge the word censor, e.g. "T0rR3nT", while folks who want to refer to a torrent of goals being scored in the Eredivisie this year will be surprised to see that row of asterisks when they post. Censorship like this causes annoyances without actually mitigating any problem.
I can only assume it was to prevent direct linking to torrents, but of course there are other ways to link to them including magnet links that aren't a problem here.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scunthorpe_problem BigScunthorpeResidentsEatShitakeMushrooms.com Oh, really? In October 2004, it was reported that the Horniman Museum in London was failing to receive some of its e-mail because filters mistakenly decided that its name was a version of the words horny man.[/quote]
As I was just locked out of BigSoccer for the last 10 mins or so, presumably due to a server problem or reboot, I found myself thinking... The biggest "bug" with BS.com I feel is the software package itself. I didn't get that decision a few years back to replace our old well-functioning BBS software. And man does that now look like an ill-fated decision. Maybe there are a few features in the new software that we didn't have before, but they are sadly outweighed by the litany of fundamental problems we've had to endure since.
I don't believe I've had any of these issues that others have had, but judging from the various reports, it seems like they essentially traded "better on the outside, but worse on the inside" for "better on the inside, but worse on the outside." I mean, other than an obvious way to multi-quote and links to next/previous threads, I'm fairly happy with this software.
Can you remind me again or link to the post explaining why this is necessary? When I see a thread alert I almost always know what forum it's in and it usually doesn't matter to me anyway. Would you not click on an alert if it's in one forum and not the other?
Because the decorum in certain forums is different? A post in the N&A forum might garner a dfferent reaction if you think it is in a team forum. Yes, you can see the forum in the cookie trail at the top of the screen, but alerts take you directly to the post in question, so you might not see it.
Hmm - I cannot tell a lie, I have responded inappropriately to an Adu thread while assuming I was in the USA Men version when I was really in Yanks Abroad. This seems like a pretty narrow need though. I'm not sure the day to day really warrants it, but I'll try to find out if it's even an option.
I posted this as a new thread but got no reply https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/threads/no-way-to-watch-a-blog.1997234/ Was wondering if anyone here knows anything about not being able to watch a blog, and that not being a feature that the admins could enable? I'm assuming "no" on all fronts but I figured I should ask just in case.
