Daejeon scores the equalizer... f*ck. Park Joon-Hyuk is brilliant as usual. Madaschi is working well with Oh-Ban-Seok, and Kim Bong-Rae is one fine RB. But Hwang Do-Yeon... smh. He's performing like's never played football before, it's no surprise all of Daejeon's pushes have been from Jeju's left flank, Hwang Do-Yeon's spot. Park Kyung-Hoon, please sub in Huh Jae-Won as soon as possible. Hwang is a burden for our flank's safety.
Incredible! Busan gooooooooooal! Really determined and solid performance by Hyomen's boys today. Especially against the league leaders. Park Jong-woo + Kim Ik-hyeon midfield top stuff.
Me too. He's a decent addition to our back-four this season, but Huh Jae-Won is more consistent, and is a better offensive option on the back wing over Hwang.
HT: Jeju 1-1 Daejeon Huh Jae-Won must be put in immediately. I'm also predicting YBGR in, Kwon Soon-Hyung out. I'm sure Park Kyung-Hoon has noticed we're being outplayed in the midfield. In YBGR we trust.
So Thiago scored his debut goal for Jeonbuk and my 3rd favorite Brazilian, Caique, (Behind Adi and Leonardo ) scored against Gangwon.
Super supersave by Lee Bum-young at such a crucial time. Only 20 more mins for Busan to hold on. Another save!
Lee Bum-young stopped everything that came his way, did everything he could but unlucky that Kim Eun-jung has scored an equalizer Busan did so much this match Now Seongnam switch places with Busan.
PEDRO!!!!!!!! 2-1 in stoppage time!!! Tears of joy are running down my face right now. Stadium's on fire!
Daegu, so unlucky at the end. They could have scored the equalizer. Anyways, the match was pretty mundane, but we play terribly. Our defence had so many gaps. At least we got the 3 points.
So all decided people. Group A: Pohang Ulsan Seoul Incheon Suwon Hyomen Group B: Seongnam Jeju Chunnam Gyeongnam Daegu Gangwon Daejeon lol New thread will be made later on before the matches restart.
After Seongnam and Busan's win, Jeju didn't have enough points to climb up to A-split, but it's obvious Jeju will destroy the B-split competition in the playoffs, so I ain't even mad. We have the FA Cup to look forward to, and tonight's win was epic. FT: Jeju United 2-1 Daejeon Citizen
Regular season top scorer: Pedro Junior (16 goals, Jeju United) Regular season top assistor: Mauricio Molina (13 assists, FC Seoul)
So at this stage of the season, what is in it for Seongnam and Jeju? They now have half a season to sort out a team for next season. Deadwood can be dropped now and youth players brought on 6 months earlier than expected. Maybe brining back the K.League Cup would add something? Top 2 in the relegation pool to be added to the top 4 in championship pool to start a new K.Legaue cup as season opener for 2014 as an idea? Would give the relegation pool teams something to fight for at the top end, especially when quite clearly ahead of relegation and would give the championship teams that are in 6/7 place something to challenge for to break into top 4 for instance to play K.League cup rather than just finishing off the season which they will do now. 12 games of nothing otherwise.
After watching the Jeju vs Daejeon match last night, my thoughts on Adrian Madaschi has changed significantly. He should be starting more often for Jeju next season, he's one of the most agile foreign defenders I've seen so far. Madaschi saved us so many times after Hwang Do-Yeon's many f*ck-ups last night, taking charge of our vulnerable left flank while constantly running back towards Park Joon-Hyuk to protect him from dangerous crosses with high rate of success. I was very impressed yesterday. Oh Ban-Seok is definitely a keeper. He's tactical in crucial defensive plays, knowing when to stay put and when to push forward. Loving Kim Bong-Rae as well.
I like the idea of giving the non relegation-threatened teams in Group B something to fight for. But the top teams in Group A already have the ACL, so having to take part in some meaningless games would make their schedule too congested.
