Well he wasn't there on vacation exactly, but he does have a good impression of the town to this very day. He met some very good people there. There was one funny incident when he just arrived in Sandzak and he had a beard. At that time, Bosniaks almost never had those kinds of beards. So when my dad walked through a cafe/bar, some of the guys there were like "EJ GDJE SI DRASKOVICU" LOLOLOLOL. Because he looked like a damn chetnik. My dad was like oh shit *gtfo*
My dad is from Bratunac and my mom originally from Berane too but all if her family including my grandpa and ma live in Plav. Btw: Trebinje looks really nice. Definitely top 3 most beuatiful cities in Bosnia.
---- I took this pic myself. It was taken on the field of my grand uncle that is located on a hill overlooking Plav.
The scenery in Plav is so damn beautiful. I stood exactly where you stood in the pic around 3 weeks ago. edit: maybe not exact place but close enough
I'm from a small city velika kladusa its in northwestern Bosnia on Croatian border, the population is like 30,000, @Hercegorštak wow trebinje is beautiful city
I'm going to have to go ahead and agree with this. Bosnians in general don't hate anyone apart from the cetniks who took so many of their family members' lives away, but our people are generally very welcoming and accepting of everyone. Unless someone would make a mistake (I know a bunch of stereotypes in this country that would) to say that Bosnians do hate other countries on the basis of separate incidents like that Bosnian guy in Utah a few years ago who just got a gun and killed everyone just because he was mad about his family's losses during the war, feeling that he should take other peoples' lives as well.
I was just reading an article on some of the hospitals in Canada getting a 60% raise in mental health cases. The way so many people live nowadays(so much to do and process in a short time)...It's no wonder really. You then give people guns..It's a lethal combination.
My father is from Sarajevo and my mother is from Trebinje. I have never been in Trebinje, but the pictures isn't bad. I have a lot of family in Sanski Most, can I ask you where live, u gradu ili?
Looks very modern. We have a house in Vogosca (i posted a pic of it a little while ago) but it looks very similar in terms of infrastructure.
