So do any of you guys know why this dude hates Monaco so much ? It sounds like he has some kind of personal agenda. I think we are all Ligue 1 fans who want to see L1 get better and Monaco is trying to do that while Bordeaux is doing nothing. I mean it wasnt long ago that Monaco was almost in the National and no one said anything but now that they have a rich owner people are scared. 89 years of playing in the French league and now all this. Its sickening.

Maybe Triaud is just afraid that Bordeaux will be irrelevant. Wait, they already are. But honestly it's a bunch of sour grapes. Triaud really should be focused on more the quality of his own team as opposed to bitching about this.

I know Bordeaux is owned by M6. Something tells me they are way richer than what they spend on FCB. Its probably a Rennes situation where the owner is super wealthy but doesnt want to go crazy spending in football for whatever reason or because thats not the French way.

he seems to think that they have a sense of entitlement and will just pop off to italy if they dont get their way.

Italy wouldnt just let them waltz right into Serie A. Stupid Stupid stupid. Hopefully Triaud wont be at Bordeaux much longer. I wonder if the presidents in Spain whine as much about Barca and RM finishing 1st and 2nd every year cause French do too much whining about PSG and Monaco. They dont wanna fight they just admit defeat like losers.

Our 3 biggest clubs finished 1-2-3. Cant even remember the last time that happened.

Will Monaco sell-out their stadium next year? I read that they only had like a 5k average this term.

. not likely and that's putting it mildly. i'll bet if you look at attendance for their last seasons in L1 it was also about 5,000/match and that included two sell-outs per year with away fans (nice and OM).

i went there several times when they perhaps had the kind of roster no french team has had since: thuram, scifo, klinsmann, petit and on and on... and i never saw Louis II even ONE-THIRD full. i've seen pics where the crowd is probably only a few hundred.

Nice, St. Etienne, and Bordeaux/Evian TG in the Europa League. Not the strongest group but it could be worse. Does Nice go automatically to the group stage or do they have to qualify ? What about the 2 cup winners ?
