Is there a reason why the PDL doesn't have it's own section in the forums? I mean, NPSL has it's own, why not PDL?
Weird, didn't even know that was there, and with the new layout you can't even see the subforum unless you know to scroll down. Still, doesn't PDL deserve it's own section? Why have it buried or mixed in with Pro stuff or where it's hard to find? Seems to me it's deserving of its own section. Who can we ask to change that?
If you would like a PDL Subforum, go to the link below and set up a thread with that request. And hten open a thread in the USL forum linked to the request. Once you get 10 people to post in the request forum we can usually get it created. Hope that helps. https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/forums/forum-requests-and-voting.666/ Moved this thread, because it doesn't really have anything to do with Expansion. I would suggest putting your link in this thread to create a PDL Subforum.
Not coming back in 2013 Boston Victory SC and Worcester Hyrda FC, both of whom kicked off their inaugural campaigns with considerable hype via social media, will not return next season, according to the USL office.
New teams for 2013 "SW Florida Soccer Club Joins PDL". "Real Boston Rams Join PDL" D.C. United U-23 Correct me if I am wrong please

here you have the link, though not from the USL site Boston Victory SC News One and Done: Hydra, Victory Won’t Return for ’13 Posted on December 17, 2012 | 1 Comment Boston Victory and Worcester Hydra will not return to PDL in 2013.
Thanks for the link. I had looked at the league site because you stated the news came from the league office. Thanks for the update.
The Cape Coral Hurricanes, who were originally planned to join PDL in 2013 but stood down in favor of SWFL United in Fort Myers, have cropped back up as an NPSL team. One of the many sudden Florida NPSL teams this year, like Miami United.
Josh Hakala is tweeting that the Brooklyn Knights have just folded out of the USL PDL after 14 seasons. They apparently want to concentrate on their youth development programs.
Opening a 2013 General PDL thread and linking this one to that. Actually decided just to change the title of this one. That's easier to do and keeps these related posts in the same thread.
The schedule is out: http://pdl.uslsoccer.com/schedules/ There will be 65 teams this year. They cut the season down to 14 game from 16. Any particular reason why?
With the currently realignment, the Nashville Metros officially have dissolved. That's the longest continuously operating USL club (1989-2012) and probably one of the longest in the US pyramid structure to finally bite the dust. Just thought it was a notable moment to share.
Money and to shorten the season. As you get closer to the end of the season, college coaches start to worry about their players on PDL teams. More games, just means more chances for their players to get hurt and not ready for the season.
It's perfect for the 8-team divisions. It makes a home-and-away schedule. I wonder if they could've re-aligned it better for mostly 8-team divisions. They also could've emulated the NPSL and enforced home-and-away in all divisions, resulting in some divisions having shorter or longer schedules. Count FC Jax Destroyers among those dissolved.
Four new teams have joined the PDL for 2013, including the awkwardly-named New York Magic – F.A. Euro (that’s one club), Oklahoma City (no nickname yet, hopefully it’s not “City”), Real Boston Rams and Southwest Florida Adrenaline. So the PDL is net minus eight clubs from last year.
