Use this thread to post pictures of shirts you have purchased and are worried they may be fake. None of us can say for sure just looking at a picture but we can give it our best shot.

Found a user on eBay that sells some player issue kits, wasn't sure if these were authentic or not, as he has a couple listings of United's blue keeper kits with Rooney's name. What are your guys' thoughts? I was looking to find a player issue version of the United home kit or the Portugal away. The seller seems to have good feedback on similar jerseys

The blue away shirt is an authentic player issue shirt, you can see by the holes that under the arms and down the side pannel as well as the blue 'T' shape that is on the shoulder. So thats definately authentic. The thing that spoils the shirt is that it has the cheap plastic lettering on the back rather than the lextra lettering/numbers (they feel fuzzy to touch and are raised off the shirt).

So basically you have a player issue shirt but not the player issue printing. It looks like someone has brought the shirt from somewhere (Nike outlets tend to sell them at the end of the season) and has just gone and got some printing from their local sports store. Not many places do the actual lextra printing other than club shops although the Manchester United megastore uses the same plastic lettering for replica fans shirt as its much cheaper.

    Hope that helps.

YESLOVE - I wouldn't purchase a shirt from that website. Barcalona are a MASSIVE team and their shirt is avaliable in sports stores all over the world. I'm sure if you looked around a few stores you'd be able to find one and know that its an authentic replica rather than risk spending your money on a website that doesn't look too genuine. I could be wrong though. I'm from the UK so obviously have never seen that website. Just a hunch ....

If they have stores I'd say they are authentic - they aren't going to sell fake shirts in a store but you could always contact a store and double check but I'd think you'd be fine.

Is selling fake shirts or none legit. Pictures are probably not the quality you will get and at nearly 60 USD + Shipping, it is trying to make you think they may be legit but no, I would stay away.

Unless they got something you really can't get elsewhere it is expensive for a fake.

There are better and cheaper fakes if you don't mind going down that route.

    Is this legit jersey??
The rear stripe looks a bit not aligned and not cut striaght at the top edge.
Also, I though code seven jerseys and Nike player issued jerseys had seven as the first number on the code, but this code is: 288681
Maybe Nike changed the code seven policy?
Also keep in mind that it is the 07/08 jersey, coz is says 2007 on the swing tags.

    Thanks!

Also, should the. Manchester united badge be embroiled on? Coz it looks like it is in the pics, so does the Nike logo

Looks legit because of the number. Player issue numbers are a lot bigger than replica numbers.

Any thoughts on this player issue jersey?

    http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/mss/spo/3385388000.html

Shoulder "T" looks right but the picture's not clear enough to see under arm vents or number on the black tag. Are the current Arsenal player issue logos iron on rather than sewn on?

Everyone should avoid using Uksoccershop. Interesting how this shop is still up and running regardless of multiple bad experiences by customers. My first and last purchase from them was many years ago. Unfortunately I ordered 4 shirts from them and each of these had some problems. One shirt was missing completely, no refund and in the end they sent me a shirt a year after the original purchase as a compensation but the shirt was very poor in quality. The other three shirts had problems as well. One was fake, printing peeled of from the other and the third one was poorly constructed and got ripped.

All fakes in my opinion. Price is too low to be current jerseys, especially with lettering. Plus the country where they're coming from is notorious for fakes.

Ok mate, thought they were. Would they still be ok to purchase 'in your opinion'? Like in terms of quality, design, look-a-like, etc. Appreciate it mate.

The quality looks ok, if the shirt is much more expensive or difficult to get from a legit outlet, the 40 dollar fakes are usually passable. I have bought a shirt knowing its a fake but found it ok. It was an Adidas clima cool shirt. Overall the shirt looks ok and can't tell it's a fake from distant and washed without falling apart but here were my observations on their problems

1 the material in close inspection may be different to the legit ones. There is a danger of higher toxic content if you are worried. But I have not had any nasty reaction yet. ;-)

2 sizing is sometimes incorrect, the fakes tend to be larger sometimes.

3 the sponsors and clima cool label fades more quickly. Big problem if shirt has big sponsors.

4 the inner labels fade quickly.

5 badge can sometimes be not perfectly embroided, the odd bump.

6 you will never get a refund from them, some let you change size but since this is on eBay and PayPal you may get some leverage. But expect no refund or prepare to dispute via PayPal. I do not recommend anyone using their credit card if its in their own site.

7 the fakers seem ok with Adidas but if it is a lesser manufacturer expect more discrepancies with the shirt's design itself as they are less likely to have got hold of the template's precise blueprint.

Sorry to mention one more thing, if you are intending to buy as a present there is one more bad feature, their tag labels can sometimes show incorrect text, classic is Cdn s/s instead of s/p p for petit in French. It shows its a fake straight away because I cannot imagine Adidas mis print something like that!!

Not sure if anyone can help, but a few days ago I purchased what was listed as an authentic US national team player issue jersey on ebay.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/130847004487?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

It is my understanding that the authentic jerseys have no tags and instead washing info printed on the inside of the shirt. The shirt I received however, does have a wash tag sewn into the side seam. I contacted the seller and they claim it's 100% legit but I can return it if I'm unhappy. Can anyone that's familiar with authentic Nike jerseys verify whether this is legit or not?
