FSC is in ~40 million homes right now.

beIN Sport is no where near close to that at least in English. Comcast has chosen in many areas to only have beIN Sport en Espanol shown.

Hopefully as others have said the English language channel will catch on during the up coming year.

There is also the off chance that in the next 16 months, FSC will be rebranded into Fox Sports 3.

Their biggest property left once they lose the EPL is the UEFA Champions League.

FSC would also be likely to grab the Bundesliga if/when Gol TV finally goes under.

Damn. Forgot about that little competition. Does anyone really care though? I mean, who wants to watch Man U v. Real Madrid?

I thought about the Bundesliga. I enjoy watching it for the crowds if nothing else. Gol's got to be on fumes as far as an english outlet.

I would think that beIN would follow the example of Fox Sports Americas (the predecessor to Fox Sports World and Fox Sports en Espanol) and GolTV (when it was only one channel). Most programs were broadcast in Spanish, but with SAP in English for programs that they had the English language rights to.

I always wondered if Fox put the cart before the horse with the FSW-FSC rebrand. It basically pushed them into removing non-soccer content. I think a mixed channel with cricket, rugby, aussie rules, darts to fill in around the primary soccer products would be better.

AndyMead beIN is going in that direction, I've noticed a lot more non-soccer programming in the last week or two, they had tennis on most of the day today.

I think GolTV only has the USOC Final rights and not the earlier rounds.

It will be interesting to see if Al-Jazeera's purchase of current (and subsequent entry into US cable/satellite nnews) has any impact on their efforts with BeIn Sport. They appear ready to use the name "Al-Jazeera America" with it--- many speculated the BeIn Sport name was used to avoid the controversial Al-Jazeera name.
