Hmm weird. I do think Feng Renliang will be good addition for Guangzhou. But where? Zhang Linpeng..where will he fit in with Feng at back?

feng renliang plays left/right winger and side midfielder.
zhang linpeng plays right defence or center-defence
so feng renliang won't have conflict with zhang linpeng, unless you mixed up feng renliang with feng xiaoting lol.

    CSL Transfers and Rumors:

There seems to be interest from some CSL clubs for the Brazilian international, Elkeson, who is currently playing with Botafogo.

Beijing Guoan seems to be interested in Jeonbuk Hyundai Motor's captain, Cho Sung-Hwan. He was targeted by Beijing during the Summer transfer period, but Jeonbuk really needed his service. His contract is coming to an end and might possibly move to Beijing since Jeonbuk has found more defensive reinforcements.

Shandong Luneng's forward, Han Peng, may move to the K-League this winter. Pohang Steelers, the 2012 Korean FA Cup winner, have been sending scouts to observe a couple of times.

Shanghai Shenhua is reportedly interested in Al-Hilal's forward, Yoo Byung-Soo. Joel Griffiths will be leaving, so they want to fill the Asian quota replacement with Yoo. Yoo was the K-League top scorer in 2010.

han peng would be a nice short-term signing
but it ultimately depends if he wants to leave his comfort zone in shandong.
the guy speaks solely the shandong dialect and he holds high status in the team.

and it's not looking good for jiang ning at hengda =[ might trade him for zhang chenglin
dont need him anymore since they have feng renliang i guess. lippi liked him...and then stopped liking him =[[[

I would be pretty angry if I was a Fujian supporter. They should promote a team for finishing third from top in CL1 and reward success rather than leaving Shanghai in who finished second from bottom, which rewards failure.

But you can't just suddenly start promoting teams that didn't secure a place via the league table. Promoting a side that came third might just make the league weaker than relegating a side that should have been relegated.

It's a hard call, but finishing 3rd from top isn't a success if you had to come in the top two. The rules they would have known when the season was in play.

Fujian were 8 points behind 2nd place, whereas Shanghai were 4 points off the team above them.

    urban legend:
fujian didn't have the opportunity to have the play-off game against shenxin because CSL said fujian is not ready for promotion (citing financial reason)

But they wouldn't have been ready anyway because they didn't come in top two.

although i think the lampard news is spectulation (like beckham coming to CSL too),
lampard coming to china would be nice and more useful than beckham.

I don't believe the first statement. It was just a rumor that was put out by the Brazilian media. Nobody else reporting it except a couple of media personnel in Brazil.

So, why would Shenxin be ready when they didn't finish in the top 14 places of the CSL?

Ntg, thanks for the update about Fujian's financial status.

CFA needs to take alot of blame on for not having plan B/preparation on merging teams and surprises.
the more you go into chinese football, the more facepalm you will have.

now Yu Hongchen (some big dude in CFA) said in five years, CSL must override K-League.
well didn't i hear that five years ago already?
