Huh? Actually I prefer FC Seoul over Gamba. I know more FC Seoul players (or any one from K-League really) than Gamba. I just thought it was funny there were 3 ex players but yes ... Gamba is easily beaten... they are facing relegation ... yowch.

I like Gamba but I prefer FC Seoul any day

relegation huh? i haven't follow the J-League in years. Surprising to hear that about Gamba.

Anyways, Kim Seung Kyu is a very good backup but Kim Young Gwang is the best keeper in the K-League...yes even better than Jung SR (who is the highest paid keeper and one of the highest paid players in Korea).

Reading back, I may have sounded snarky. I liked watch Kim Seung-Gyu in Ulsan and South Korea U21.

But yes... Kim Young-Kwang future of Korean goalkeepers.

No not really. He's like 28 i think and Jung is younger and already cemented himself as the starting keeper on the KNT. Jung makes a bit more sense in the international stage because he's better in the air and has more experience (WC 2010, Olympics, Qualifiers) but KYK has better reflexes and hands.

However, I should note I still love my Gamba Osaka (and Japanese football) very much. It's just that Korean football (and FC Seoul) is what got me into Asian football in general. Either way.. while I prefer FC Seoul... I still think Gamba Osaka is very close behind.

I still remember in 2006 when Ulsan made the semifinals of the AFC Champions League and got pipped by Jeonbuk. They were on fire that year, they had an in form LCS before all the stupid shit he managed to pull.

Glad they finally got that Asian title.

Lee Keun-Ho after winning AFC Asian Player of the Year award told media he supposedly has no regrets in joining Sangju army team (that's been relegated next year to KLeague2). Then the KNT midfielder had this to say: When asked about joining a European team, Lee said "definitely not now" but he admitted it would be a "dream" for any player.

"I (would) prefer to play in Europe. Anywhere I will be is fine as long as I can play in Europe," he said.

There's a discussion/thread on the military service issue on BSK. Come join in the conversation. It doesn't have to be a divisive issue -we can make this a unifying thing we can all agree on. Look at LKH, we've got a ridiculous case of someone who's won the AFC Asian Player of the Year last night -someone who's about to play for Ulsan in the FIFA Club World Cup and possibly against Chelsea - who will at the end of december officially join a Permanently relegated Kleague2 team. For 2 years. Doesn't serve in the best interests of S Korea and the KNT if you ask me.
