Sprained ankle? That could happen to anyone. There's no way to avoid such a minor injury.

Keisuke's calf injury happened 3 days prior to the game against Spartak. Let's wait for reports from today's training.

Inoha was already in bad condition after Cerezo's match, just like the other time too were he was even made play anyway. That's what I am referring to. Sure, it could just be a coincidence but :/ it's not even like we needed him at all cost

About Honda I know, I didn't even bother to answer Blue-san because that wasn't funny.
About Maeda I only remember that he injured himself in training or something, well of course that could happen and in no way the doctor could've done anything

Interesting, not only does he play left back or right back and Inoha was basically a replacement for Konno who is a central defender...wasn't Gotoku slightly injured as well?

    http://www.nikkansports.com/soccer/world/news/f-sc-tp3-20121005-1027836.html

    Yes he was

Well to be fair to the JNT and Zac, I guess when you lose a defender and it's just two days till the friendly you can't call someone from Japan, so the only defender you have is a Stuttgart lad, slightly injured or not...

no one was called in for Honda if that is what you mean. Maeda and Inoha flew home. Honda is still there and may even play on Friday...

Let's hope that - at least - Honda can make it with Brazil.

    http://www.soccer-king.jp/news/japan/national/20121011/76099.html

Soccer King did an online survey about who fuels expectations most. Result is: 479 (out of 2474) voted for Inui, 409 for Kagawa, 407 for Honda, followed by 267 for Uchida & 238 for Miyaichi.

Of course it doesn't mean much. Many may have switched to Inui after it has been reported that Honda is not training fully, and one can be sure that Uchida always gets a certain amount of votes due to his fanbase, but I must say it still surprised me that Inui is No. 1 (while Kiyo is not there at all).

noo I wanted to post it, I saw it on yahoo but forgot it later.
I did not expect to see Uchida so high, I thought maybe Nagatomo. I underrated his popularity I guess

Full time: Brazil 6-0 Iraq, and that's because Iraq keeper managed several superb saves.

Kaká is back to the starting lineup also.

    So....
Maeda and Inoha officially out, Okazaki was already out.
Sato and Gotoku Sakai for Maeda and Inoha, while Inui in for Okazaki. while Honda is uncertain.

I would love to see a
Inui-Kagawa-Kiyotake in the 3 AMF roles while Sato, with his amazing form, in the FW role. Kagawa-Inui is a deadly combination during their Cerezo days, while Kiyotake seems to really adept to either backing them up or add to the attacking flair. The 3 Former Cerezo boys, all playmakers for their respective teams, would seem like a extremely deadly trio, adding J1 top goalscorer Sato up front could be exceptional.
but this is really just wishful thinking.

Sato is new to the team, he probably won't start, but could see some playing time as sub, although I hope not. Havenaar would likely start.
While if Honda is rested, Nakamura would be 2nd Choice in the CAM, not Kagawa, but I would love to see the Cerezo Trio attack.

question is the back 4, but since Konno return, he would probably pair up with Yoshida there, Nagatomo on Left, Uchida on Right.
and Endo, Hasebe in CM, with Hosogai getting an appearance, hopefully.

What time is the game, UTC/ GMT time?

    GOOD LUCK, JAPAN!

GO JAPAN! GAMBARE, NIPPON! GAMBARE SAMURAI BLUE!
