Really disappointed to see the best thread title on Yanks Abroad to go away, but as an extremely casual fan of Tottenham I guess I'm excited.

Not as point forward. It is a rotational system of forwards. Sahin is more suited for the midfield 3, but Liverpool could easily struggle with the 3rd forward spot due to a lack of quality. Rodgers
might have to tweak his system.

When Lucas comes back- Liverpool will have to choose between Gerrard-Lucas-Allen in midfield,
or Sahin-Lucas-Allen in midfield. I think they will go for the 1st option and push Sahin higher up on the pitch.

TBH the West Brom game was a story of complete implosion. Start well , dominate, create chances, concede a cracker, come back after half time, get red card and theb implode. Arsenal had a few of those moments early on and fitted into their new style of play. Swansea are good but I think we have more quality than them and I think Wigan will finish like 13th. Sunderland are poor in my opinion and O'neils style of play won't do justice to the players they have. And you have to remember Dalglish tactically last season, was awful.

Double SECRET relegation - since it will happen before the season is even over!

was just about to mention the exact same three teams. They dont have fancy names but they play really well as a team and arent afraid of anyone. I watched the West Brom - Liverpool game and to be frank they cleaned their clock in convincing fashion. Its obvious which team is better there.

I think you're taking too much from early season games.

I don't think Sahin has the mobility to move higher up. I've been following this kid since he was 16. At Dortmund, he was viewed upon as a #10, Rivaldo style. He failed and Thomas Doll was actually about to sell him after his break out season under van Marwijk becoming the youngest player to debut in the BuLi and then becoming the youngest to score.

Fortunately, he moved out to Feyenoord on loan (following van Marwijk). He really began to flourish under the double six role and when Klopp brought him back to Dortmund, that was the role he excelled at. He never played up in an attacking role in a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3. heck, even Mourinho brought him to Real as a plan to play alongside Khedira or Alonso in the double six role.

He is much better as a deep-lying play-maker than an AM...and he is most certainly not a winger.

I wish the kid the best....love that guy.

    Yes, with the other WAGs...

Second that. The first time I ever played Championship Manager, I picked some team I never heard of because I thought 'Hotspur' sounded like a cool name. I've kind of had a soft spot for them ever since. That was my only link to the club, until today.

patterns carry over from season to season. That mentality isnt going to change much barring a coaching change.......which Liverpool has tried to jolt them into life. The trick is clubs like Swansea, West Brom, and Sunderland mid table is brownie points for them. 10th place in the table for Liverpool is open panic. If West Brom can gel as a team like that after losing their coach with a fraction of the resources, Liverpool should as well. I really, really dont see liverpool finishing better than 9th this season. Theyre going to drop points against your Sunderlands, West Broms, Swanseas......and sure as heck arent going to pick them up against Man U, City Chelsea, Tottenham ,Newcastle, the like on a consistent basis.
