Was he really a reject? I thought that nasty break injury derailed his career.

Damn these desert teams for jacking up the price. I imagine wenger would have personally drove PCY over to Jol's house for that price before they mucked things up.

I think it was 3.5 million euro + 3 million euro for national service exception, so 6.5 million euro in total. They are losing about 2~3 million euro considering Park's wage as well.

Don't Fullham have enough attacking options?

With Dempsey - yes. But, if and when they sell Dempsey, afterwards - no.

Rodallega and Ruiz naturally play wider. Dembele has transitioned into midfield and might be sold.

PJY would be paired with or rotating with Petric.

Jol has shed a lot of their forwards - Andy Johnson, Zamora, etc. Pobgraniak signed with Reading after his loan instead. So there are opportunities under Jol.

That article also states that Fulham want to take him on loan if a deal can't be reached to outrigh buy him.

Found this on the first page and thought I'd repost it, to spread more rage.

I hope this move to Fulham can go through, but I'm sure Wenger would be against giving away one of his players to another rival team (both London-based.) Also, what good does a loan do for Arsenal unless they actually want to develop a player by giving him playing time?

Also, I like how nobody repped this. Thanks for posting it anyway, Mudang.

That's fine - going on loan. PJY will be a free agent next summer since he's on a 2 year contract. So he just needs to stand his ground.

    Arsenal's four options:
    1. Convince PJY to move to the middle east where a middle eastern club can offer a huge bonus or wages for PJY (as seen in the case of Gyan's loan last season). That would mean a near full recovery of transfer fee for Arsenal.

    2. Take the financial loss on his transfer fee and sell him. That would remove his wages from their balance books.

    3. Loan him to another club for this season - PJY becomes a free agent after the loan. No recovery of any transfer fee, but removes his wages from their books.

    4. Not sell or loan him - Full loss on transfer fees. Arsenal are fully on the hook for his wages. But PJY would rot again this season.

soounndsss legit. It seemed to me like Fulham was a one-man team of Dempsey last season. I thought they'd struggle with him moving on. I was surprised they went 5-0 against Norwich, and even more surprised Petric scored 2. I doubt he will continue to score like that.

Last game Petric played up top with Ruiz supporting him. There is plenty of room for PJY. With Martin Jol, he'll definitely see game time.

yeah but would not put too much into that 5-0 result of the first game....if i recall correctly, Bolton won their first game last season with a 5-0 win. lol!

I think his contract converted to 3 when he got exemption. At least that's how it was structured at Lille

as for petric he's fragile as all heck. Wait, have we heard this before?

Fulham have wanted PCY for awhile, so this would be awesome news for Park if transfer/loan is made.

Wasn't that while LG was still the sponsor? It seems like Fulham wants to replace Dempsey as both player and marketing tool....

Someone (maybe it was Duerden?) stated that a move would be completed before the end of this month, yes? We only have a little over a week to wait!

With Clint Dempsey refusing to play for Fulham PCY will get his chances (if Jol gets his man).

He wouldn't even have to move, plus he can have Captain Park for company. :geek:

IIRC Fulham earlier this year tried to secure PCY on loan which Wenger rejected, fcuktard.

Let's all hope Jol gets his man.

Oh God I feel so dumb. So are transfers kept secret at times? Or are they always out in the open. Sorry, I asked this before but I didn't get a definite response.

Many you do not hear of like PCY to arsenal. Most noisy ones come from clubs and agents trying to boost fee size or increase interest from other buyers. Or players trying to leave in a "come get me" mode.

So I just came back from watching The Dark Knight Rises (finally).

Is it weird when Bruce Wayne was climbing out of the pit my brain drew a similar comparison to PCY @ Arsenal?
