Leeds are on for a 100% start to the season from two very tricky games against Wolves & Blackpool. Leeds fans will have forgotten Rogers already.

    Results > pretty football.

Getting a cleansheet at home and 1-0 win is much better than having the worst home record in the league.

On a side note- this new BigSoccer is such a pain in the ass, how many times do you need to log-in for god sakes!?! Can't even count the number of times I just closed the site down instead of posting cause of this.

I would have stopped being a football fan years ago if this was my opinion.

I am an odd one though, most would agree with you.

Have Preston drop 7 on you (amongst a myriad of other embarrassing results) and let me know if you feel the same.

It's easy being a fan of pretty football when your team is in the top 5 teams in the country.

Hello I'm SoCalYid, I'm a Spurs fan, have we met? I seem to remember you're lot dropping 5 on us one day out. Also I remember the 4-3 which was great drama.

I started supporting football a couple decades ago, which coincided with the worst period for Spurs. The one thing we could always hold onto while we had some shocking and ludicrous results, we played attractive positive football. We conceded a billion goals with Klinsmann but that's still some of the best football I've seen my club play. Then we had players like Gazza, Hoddle, Waddle, Ginola, Berbatov/Keane, Sheringham, etc. who were crowd pleasers.

It wasn't personal, I understand we're you're coming from. Especially as a Leeds fan because you guys are trying to get back into the PL.

Leeds lost to Blackpool today. The irony is that the Gaffer blamed it on the lack of pace from his wings. We know Robbie has pace-odd.

Not if you consider the stubborn old man it came from. He's made his decision. Robbie has basically no chance to change that at this point. Warnock's rep came through hard work over many years.

Not really surprising since he did impress in the little time he had but alot of Leeds fans on twitter calling for Rogers. Still hope he gets a fair chance at Leeds..

The kid needs a loan-even down a level, gets some matches, prove his durability. Game time is key at this point.

    Quite.

Warnock gave him 6 months of training last season, and all pre-season to decide if he was good enough, and despite having no money to replace him, has decided he's still not good enough to play a part.

Funny thing is, I think he can help. If nothing else, he'd be a good utility guy at both wings, and I think he could do a decent enough job in spot duty at LB and RB. Probably not going to find out at Leeds like you say. I'd love to see him at Blackpool. He's made for that wide open style.

I don't think you can call a 25 year old a kid anymore.

He needs to move on............................and "down a level" is worse for him than MLS.

What I was going to say. Rogers has no need to go to League 1. If he doesnt find something in the Championship & Warnock refuses to use him then he simply must leave England...

Not a fan of Rogers but to be fair to him.... he hasn't really been given a chance. The change of managers pretty much killed it.

    bump. :)

Look, if he's all that- he will prove himself superior at League One level. Otherwise, he was questionable at Championship level to begin with. Cream rises.

Not really. Cream is still with the Bournemouth Poppies in the Wessex League Premier. ;)

The current "gaffer" of Stevenage FC is former Colorado Rapids boss Gary Smith.

On the bright side.. Stevenage ended 6th last season & has signed alot of players this year. So, they honestly look a good chance for the Championship this season. Sheffield United, imo, are the most likely club to return to the Championship this season though...

Stevenage are a good little club with a young, dynamic squad and manager.

He'll get a real chance there and under a manager who knows him.

Hi all - new to the forum - I'm a Stevenage fan and I wanted to read the scoop on new signing Robbie Rogers. I currently live in Vancouver, so follow the Whitecaps - and have a reasonable understanding/knowledge of the MLS.

With all due respect - Denmark. WTF?

I think you'll find that the MLS is probably not too dissimilar to the Championship in most instances, and I think bottom end MLS teams would struggle in the Championship. There's no harm in dropping down to League One, which in recent seasons has actually had some pretty big teams in it (Sheff Utd, Sheff Wed, Charlton, Forest, Leeds, Southampton, Norwich...)

Dismissing League One because it's third tier is a little narrow minded - its a great place to learn your trade, and there is some good football being played. He'd be better off in League One than playing for some shit MLS outfit like Portland Timbers.

You all seem pretty positive about the lad - which is good. I'm looking forward to seeing him do well. Pace is always a good asset to have, and Stevenage - under ex-Colorado boss Gary Smith - are playing some of the best football we've seen in many seasons at Broadhall Way. We have some very talented young players who like to get the ball down and pass - and from what you guys are saying, that should suit him very well. Smith will presumably know him from his MLS days, so will know how to utilise him best.

I honestly think it will be a great move for him.

And a quick explanation on the loan-til-January thing - in England there's a transfer window in January. Chances are its a 'loan-to-permanent' deal where if he does well - Stevenage will sign him permanently in January.

You got a hell of a manager. He performed miracles at Colorado as you probably know. To win a cup with that squad is one of the better achievements in recent memory I think. He got little support from Kroenke. You can see how they've been this season without him.
