A third from beineke today. Ventura Alvarado Aispuro, a '92 from Phoenix, is now listed with Club America. Looks like he has been spotted by Mexican YNT programs.

He played with America at the PSA tournament hosted by Friedel's academy last year.

Not sure if he has played for either Mex/USA, but he is on Club America's roster for their preseason WFC tour. Goal.com listed his nationality as American..

Ventura Alvarado made his Club America first team debut yesterday going the distance in a 2-1 road loss to Veracruz.

    A center back, huh?

Too bad Caleb Porter was unaware of this before Olympic qualifying.

And for those wondering about his size, this link says he's 180 CM, which = 5-11. Not huge but not Puyolesque, either.

    http://www.footballdatabase.eu/football.joueurs.ventura.alvarado.174341.en.html

Of course, there's no guarantee that listing is accurate.

He was an unused sub again today for Club America in a 1-1 draw with Atlas

Kinda wish someone put up a gameday thread & had some commentary because even though I have been watching the game on Galavision all I know is that its 4-3 & America's D's been shaky. They look alike & ofcourse its in Spanish.

Ventura Alverado is the #21. I'm having trouble watching the game because of the storm here but from what I have seen, he has looked decent.

According to the commentators, Alverado has been the best of all 4 defenders and has won the most tackles.

Alvarado looked good out there despite the 4-3 loss. He was easily America's best defender in the back line. Club America lost the game in the midfield, not in defense.

What impressed me the most was his speed (very fast) and his passing ability out of the back. His speed allowed him to cover up a few of his mistakes. He is raw in how he reads the game but he's got a nice upside from what I've seen.

He's too old for the current US U20 team but he should have been at least called up to a U20 or U23 camp last cycle who were both poor in central defense.

Apparently generating a bit of buzz in Mexico, and possibly interest from the Mexican federation for a YNT call-up.

    That's right. Not eligible for the 2013 U20s or the 2016 U23s

The only step for him now is a full national team callup (for either the US or Mexico). He's not close to either NT at the moment

The last time I saw him play in the Copa MX he looked pretty good. Physical, decent passing and kind of a leader.

He may not be ready for the USMNT now but possibly in a year or two, if he keeps improving.
