What if AVB had not been fired, would CFC have reached two major cup finals?

RDM is the current "manager", so while things are good he is obviously getting lots of praise. However the moment will come when things aren't as rosy as they are know, and he'll come under more scrutiny..

Until that moment, at least IMO most of the praise should be for the players. The players are the ones who are performing and getting the W's for CFC.

My question is- If Abromavich had stuck with AVB, who was "his" guy, would chelsea have made the turn around it has.

I know we never will know, but I just wonder if all RDM has done is give JT and Lampard and co. carte blanche to basically be the "bosses" and do as they like...which is to revert to mourinhos style which IS chelseas style.

Big issue there....Lamps and terry and Drogba will retire one, and soon. They aren't 29.....A day of reckoning is coming for that club like it or not.

no chance. he should have stamped his mark by buying more players last summer and clearing out the squad gradually. he was the creator of his own problems. the mishandling of anelka and alex which led to their exit is what irks me

No. Definitely not. AVB was benching Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba. I know these players are old but they still are world class players. And let's face it. Daniel Sturridge wouldn't have done the job.

The thing is, Chelsea DIDN'T really revert to Mourinho's style, so your whole point is moot.

There's nothing impossible. Even if Chelsea have Pep Guardiola i think LUCK also taking part for all of these.

Agree. We all know Andre's skill in managing a team. He has different strikes that surely makes the team win often.

Clearly Chelsea players had problems with AVB. It seems they really wanted to prove AVB wrong by giving extra efforts in all of their remaining matches haha.
