We have some random, non-RSL fan who has joined the league and who now leads it. That takes a lot of the fun out of it IMO. Who is the grand poobah of our league? Can the poobah boot people?
Looks like several people forgot to make changes before the deadline last weekend - same deadline for the weekends incorporating June 2, June 9, and June 16. And now Mrs. Ismitje (aka Serra in the above post) is right there behind the leaders.
I made 2 transfers and took the -4 point hit. How are you guys doing with the pick 'em? right now I'm in 23rd with 17 points. I've impressed myself, didn't think I was that great of a guesser, haha.
Doing a lot better with the Pick'em game than Salary cap. I've somehow managed to correctly guess enough matches to be tied for 4th place, but there's plenty of time left in the season for me to screw it up.
Bummer. They could've really done a better job of announcing it. Hopefully we have pick'em right from the start next year.
Mrs. Ismitje has giddily moved into first. . . . and don't look now but our little league had the player with the best score in the whole game - Unknown Road with 121 points on the week.
I'm slowly inching my way up our league. Maybe by the end of the year I'll be somewhere in the middle. I'm getting really lucky at Pick'em. I'm tied for 2nd overall.
Hey, that's me. I'm finally making some good roster moves that are paying off. And getting pretty lucky as well.
Best beware this week: MLS Fantasy has separated out the games tonight from the ones this weekend into separate rounds.
I'm pretty happy with my squad right now. I have 5 guys on the dream team, and my other ones have been doing pretty well too. I just don't know who I should make my captain this round. I've narrowed it down to Beckerman and Gruenebaum. I just don't know.
Either would be fine choices but Will Bruin in hot right now and Cooper will get Henry back. Cooper is a good pick by him self but pair him up with Henry and it makes him twice as valuable.
Thanks for the help, I went with Bruin, mostly because of opposition. I have more confidence in Bruin against Montreal than Cooper against DC (the TH factor included)
I am the opposite: I almost never pick an RSL player, and certainly never pick a player playing against RSL. My reasoning on the latter is probably obvious enough. On the former, I figure the best way to make progress against people in an RSL-affiliated league is to not pick the same players - and I assume y'all pick Salt Lake players.
There is a "cup" starting this week, based on your qualifying score from the just completed week of games. Something like 8000 teams get drawn randomly against one another, and if you score higher than your opponent, you continue on to the next week for the next random draw. Seems fun enough!
