Intru, will there be twitter or some form of communication from the CFU club matches? I assume that there is no internet coverage. I'd like to follow the match as best as possible. Thanks.

Man did everyone go on vacation? There has been no chatter since last weekend.

Just a thought. We catch Carolina right after a big win over LAG and just before facing Chivas USA. Will the Railhawks be focused on this game or distracted by Open Cup success?

Also how much do the national team call ups affect us?

A lot. The Islanders without the PR internationals arent exactly the same thing. However, I hope we can take advantage of the Railhawk's distractions and try to take 3 points today.

Railhawks beat us 2-1. Too bad we were missing all the players from the PR national team, but congrats to Carolina's win nonetheless.

I haven't heard from him, so no. He's not an Islanders. The only Dominican on the team is Faña, if I'm not mistaken.

According to balompiedominicano.com Ceasr Danko signed with the Islanders but it seems like the president of the dominican soccer federation refuses to approve this transfer

I am glad the Islanders signed another defender, Cesar Garcia. It is also good to sign someone who has the quality and skills to play for his country. My only concern is who will play for the Islanders when the Digicel Caribbean Cup starts. We now have 13 international players on our roster. If they all get called up at once, the Islanders may have to play short handed or sign a few temp players. Again, I'm glad to see the signing. I just don't want to get into the same "problems" that we had last year.

Great 2-0 win for the Scorpions against us. They are now top of the board.

We have a big game game today in the CFU Club championship against W. Connection. A victory puts us in the CCL and in the final. We NEED to win today.

Last I heard PRI was losing 3 - 1; so if the scored stayed the same, the 3 T&T clubs are in the CCL and PRI will place for 3rd vs a team from USLPRO.

4-1 loss for the Islanders, What happened? I figured PRI would make the final.

Don't know what the other score was with Antigua vs another T & T league team.

    Caledonia beat Antigua 2-0

It is hard to tell from the texts and tweets what happened. 4-1 wow. It appears we had some chances and didn't finish. W took advantage of their opportunities and our pushing forward to create scroing chances.

No time to look back. We have to look to Thursday and qualifying for CCL.

Wow!! Great result for us. Between our NASL and revised CFU schedules, life has been made difficult for the Tropa Naranja. I am sorry we did not repeat as champions, but mission accomplished in returning to CCL.

Now, we need to garner points in the NASL so that we can focus on the CCL win it starts (July 31). Also, we need to see if the Digicel Caribbean Cup calls ups will affect our roster for the CCL games. I don't think so, but am not sure. I know we will lose a bunch of players for NASL games. Whit will have to deal with all of that. For now, I am not going to worry and just enjoy our team's success.

We beat the Scorpions at home yesterday 1-0. The ending of the regular season + the playoffs will be crazy.

We're still a bit behind, but there is still plenty of season left. Let's see how the team performs with all the match congestion coming up.
