Group B 1.Al Ittihad 2.Al Arabi(Qatar) 3.Bani Yas(UAE) 4.Pakhtakor(UZBEKISTAN) First Game Al Ittihad vs Pakhtakor Group C 1. Sepahan(Iran) 2.Al Ahli 3.Lekhwiya(Qatar) 4.Al Nasr(UAE) First Game Lekhwiya Vs Al Ahli Group D 1.Al Shabab(UAE) 2.Persepolis(Iran) 3.Al Hilal 4.Al Gharafa(Qatar) First Game Al Hilal vs Persepolis
I think Hilal has the toughest group out of the three. But I can see all three teams making it to the second round.
this is my prediction the al ittihad group is very easy, only al arabi has a good team, the other no problem. The al ahli group is not easy, sepahan is a top team in asia and al lekhwiya is the current qatar champion. The al hilal group is not good but is not bad, because the 2 tickets is between persepolis,al hilal and al gharrafa. In conclusion my prediction is : Al Ittihad finish first in the group B Al Ahli finish third in the group C Al Hilal finish first or second in the group D
It might just be me, but I don't really share the opinion of the previous predictions Group B: Ittihad have to face Pahktakor, now thats not an easy task although Pahktakir aren't what they use to be, they still must be a decent outfit being one of only two decent teams in Uzbekistan fullstop. Al Arabi and Baniyas have been struggling - even more than Itti, should qualify. I they don't then it really is a turmoil campaign. Group C: Sepahan will be tough no doubt. But Al Nasr? Really. I think thye will struggle. Lekhiwya will probably get a nose bleed at this level. Group D: Hilal should get through. Perespolis will be tough. Al Gharafa have somehow lost the plot this season. If they turn it around then I'd be surprised and would be more suprised about the Qatari league and the teams above them. Al Shabab on paper shouldn't be a challenge, But hey, it's the ACL, we want a good competition, so I'm open to upsets, and I'm open to the UAE sides to make the knockout stage for a change. If they they do, then at the expense of Sauid clubs?
All the other boards have a thread dedicated to their teams at the ACL so why shouldn't we? I doubt we'll see that many trolls. I don't know. Lekhiwya's rise has been impressive and they are still on the top of the Qatar League as we speak. I think they can go in with the mentality of "First time in this competition, we have nothing to lose" and play some dangerous attacking football.
I respect that, although I do personally feel that they have hardly felt defeat the last two/three years, so a sudden earth shattering move up a level meet just find them out. Saying this, like you say, they hav risen, they know how to win and for them I think if they take the lead in a game I do think they have the know how to defend it, but going down a goal, I don't know if they have it in them to come back and turn it around. They have probably never done it so it will be new to them aswell.
There's no trolling so far, unless of course your refering to only myself or allan? All I see is a decent talk about Saudi clubs in the ACL and the only disruption at this moment is from yourself Serro. Care to tell us why?
As we also have a club in AFC Cup ie Ittifaq, any one can share news regarding AFC Cup too. Here the group- Al Kuwait FC Ittifaq Fc Al Ahed Lebanon VB Sports Maldives As Ittifaq is doing great in the league, althoigh the form has slumped for sometime, it will be most certainly the club from West is going to winn the title again and I cant rule out Ittifaq can be one of them.
Regarding Ittihads match against Pakhtakor, it was great performance finally by the tigers. The new coach seems to be well attached to the team so early. Although the match was boring too watch as no spectators in stadium. About the other Saudi teams, Hilal has got toughest group and will be exciting to watch while Ahli will manage to skin off to the next round but I eventually rule them out to proceed beyond the R16.
Results- Lekhiwya 1-0 Ahli Hilal 1-1 Pirroozi Al Kuwait FC 1-5 Ittifaq [AFC CUP] Is there theory which can explain Why Hilal sucks in ACL.
of course i was refering to allan ..... doesnt matter now ! anyway i got a theory why alhilal suck in ACL ... maybe because the rest of the saudi clubs are bad .thats possible
FT- Al Arabi {Qatar} 1-3 Ittihad Jeddah Caneda is doing a good job. Team playing a good game.Hope this to continue..
A day of draws of Saudi clubs in ACL and AFC. Gharaffa 3-3 Hilal Ahli 1-1 Sepahan Ittifaq 0-0 Al Ahed {Lebanon}
Good day for Saudi clubs in AFC and ACL- Nasser UAE 1-2 Ahli Shabab UAE 1-1 Hilal Al Ittihad 1-0 Baniyas VB Sports Maldives 3-6 Ittifaq Ittihad a win or draw away from qualification. Great game from the team.Bani Yas also played to there best as Calderon is managing them..
Fair day for Saudi Teams- Baniyas 0-0 Ittihad Hilal 2-1 Shabab UAE Ahli Jeddah 3-1 Nasser UAE Ittihad needs another point to secure passage to R16 agaisnt Pakhtokar away with Ahli also need of home win against Lekhwiya of Qatar to secure R16. Hilal have to wait till last match day as they will visit Piroozi and play at home to Gharafha.They beat Piroozi so they are well in place to qualify or else any other result will have decider in the last match day
why this forum is empty ? anyway alahli has qualified for quarter-finals today hilal vs bani yass and itti vs Peroozi
And Saudi Arabia has a glorious day, crushing their opponents 10-1 on aggregate at home. Al-Hilal's Korean striker was on fire, albeit against a team that crumbled easily. One of Ittihad or Hilal will make the final, and win it unless FC Tokyo or Ulsan show up.
