they were so happy about going down to L2 for the first time in 32 years they couldn't wait for the fireworks celebration the club had prepared and started their own without waiting for the match to end.
Congrats to Montpellier, I don't think anyone saw them winning the league this year! Very excited to see how PSG will do next year in the Champions League
just because it's both a cheap shot and the pot calling the kettle black doesn't mean j.c. dassier is altogether wrong when he cuts DD to the quick thusly: "when i see that boy's talent i think something's just not right with deschamps... how could the so-called best coach of L1 not exploit that potential? not to mention hilton and bocaly who have shone at montpellier since he discarded them... to recruit rool, morientes and gignac. that's a lot to answer for. quoted in le parisien and translated loosely but faithfully (and brilliantly) by yours truly.
i'm a big CR fan myself, and i thought he would do well at OM. the fact that he disappeared corps et biens seemingly only minutes after entering the commanderie perhaps only reinforces JCD's criticism.
Times are changing. Its a strong possibilty that Nice and Monaco will have more money to spend than Marseille does despite the fact OM has more fans than those 2 combined. You wouldnt have predicted that 20 years ago. Puel, new stadium, and probable new owners coming in. If Nice becomes a richer club than OM I will laugh and its not out of the realm of possiblity that it could happen.
