It's unfortunate that it's Match of the Day 2 today, because Hansen and Lineker would go IN on Balotelli.
Mancini pretty much admits that Mario deserves a suspension for the Non-Send off in the first half. Can see that Mancini just seems like he's given up on him. Like a parent who realises there's nothing they can do for their misbehaving child
I'm still trying to get my head around Mancini bringing on Tevez for Aguero. Not just 'cause Balotelli looked like a red card waiting to happen, but at 0-0 a point wouldn't have been too clever for them either and there was a big case for having all 3 of them on the pitch. Speaking of Mancini, and it may of been lost in translation, he's just said he hopes Balotelli's challenge in the first half is looked at by the FA.
"Aww don't worry, daddy will buy you a new team to support, how about we replace those blue shirts with some new ones in Red on our way home?"
Yeah I was thinking the same thing, there's standing by your players and there's just plain stupidity.
He probably knows he will go if they dont win it. What a stupid player Balotelli is, alot of players have aggression and at times they are defined by it but he is just stupid.
Then he couldn't play him the rest of this season. Makes sense to me. His 5 game plus Retrospective from that would end is campaign..
This. Not surprising. This is why I was willing to take James on that he wa not going to crack. He is another manager who gets on well with Fergie; FSW and Daglish being only notable exceptions.
From Mancini's POV, he is in a win-win situation. Even if he fails at City, he gets a good payout and his reputation stays intact and he can go back to Inter.
So.... are we saying I shouldn't have posted that gif to facebook? bah. Any citeh fan crying is medicine to me. They were too proud early this season. They get their just deserts.
Not really a meltdown though. It is the Ravel situation magnified. No point keeping players like Balotelli. Still, creates quite the situation at City though. Need to sell Tevez; need to sell Balotelli, want to sell Dzeko, Aguero wants to engineer a move to RM and Adebayor doesn't want to go back. So despite spending 200M+ on strikers, they still aren't sure of the identity of even one that will start next season.
Sure it is. He's been full of contradictions all year. Now, after all he's said, in complete contradiction to his decisions, he comes out in public, to throw balotelli under the bus and humiliate him and say I'm selling you. No need to air your dirty laundry in public like that. Just keep quiet and quietly ship him out. City are still in this race, despite what everyone says. Mancini should be leading here and setting a tone throughout his squad.
I am sure they will go for Hazard and another wide/wing forward. And perhaps a midfielder (Pizzaro is just a temp), plus replacing all the outs. Will be another shuffle.
Don't buy that. He is trying the "carrot and stick" with Balotelli. This is not the first time he has spoken out against Balotelli in public. Just this week, he said that he would smack Balotelli every now and then if he was his teammate and called him unmanageable a few weeks before.
