I don't think this has been posted anywhere else on the forum. An unfortunate scene occurred during a high school soccer game in South Carolina. A high school girl attacked another player after getting fouled. The video is pretty sad and brutal. It's just unnecessary.

I saw it neither team knows how to play the game the right way. These girls were very very slow. None of them could move they had no quickness.

The girl who fell looked like no one touched her she just lost her balance and fell. But she thought she was fouled from behind.

She get's up puts one hand on the girl to control her. Then starts punching her over, and over and over and over again.

So she can't play the game, but she does know how to fight.

If she was not pulled off her. She probably would have killed her.

It was just real bad soccer and real good fighting. But this was supposed to be a soccer game, and not a fight

  5. where i grew up(even in suburbia) when someone attacked you like that, you fought back. that wasn't a fight, that was a beating. DISCLAIMER: not saying it is right, it's just the way it was. it's a different world these days. we also didn't have kids walking into schools and shooting up the place.

i would be pressing charges too.

Technically it was a pretty good cross don't you think? For a second I thought it was planned and not an accident.

God awful soccer but that not being the point. She should be forced to take anger management and counseling.

What she did was terrible. But I am sure it is no bed of roses living in her house for her. There is usually a reason for people to get like that.

I am far from a liberal. But when it comes to kids being abused and what they have to go through in some families and in some neighborhoods I am. Only because I went through it myself. It can turn a normal child into an animal.

That's clearly a purposeful trip from behind and that type of junk happens pretty regularly in female rec soccer.

The response is excessive, but I can understand why she is upset when she gets tripped running full speed and hits the turf that hard.

I watched it 5 times looking for a trip and didn't see one. But I was looking at the feet. I did finally see a shove on the back with the left fore arm (13 seconds in the clip) about 1 1/2 steps before the fall. (The camera angle was really bad for spotting contact.) On that poor surface, a shove from behind could easily cause a fall.

Stupid foul too. The defender should have just recovered toward the goal using interior lines to get ahead of the attacker. The bumpy surface was defense enough to slow the attacker down.

I see the defender's right foot kicking the attacker's right heel and pushing that foot into the attacker's left foot - which trips the player.

Oh, well. But, no one gets up and bashes the face of an innocent bystander like that. All number of verbal and physical altercations could have happened between the two over the duration of a match or season.

Yeah I see it now when I stop the video at exactly the right spot.

Looks innocent except why was the defender crossing to the outside of the attacker, exactly the wrong place to go tactically if you are going to defend fairly. And except for the push right before the trip. So it would be an intentional trip. You are right.
